How to prepare for J&K Public Service Exam (JKPSC)?

Whenever you start something, you make a plan such that you can work in a particular manner and you can complete the entire task as per the planning. Planning or scheduling of study is the most important task for every exam. Here we are talking about public service exams of Jammu and Kashmir. This exam will help to know about your overall depth of understanding and intellectual traits rather than measuring your memory power. Every area of exam requires the in-depth knowledge of every area. It can be general studies, mental ability, history, constitution, mathematics and verbal ability. So, you should understand that cramming will not help in this case and you have to keep yourself updated regarding any news, changes in the state, country. You should be well equipped with all CBSE maths solutions. A civil service exam requires good base or foundation which helps in achieving a good rank. For JKPSC, you are having two rounds of exam and an interview. Prelims are the first exam in which you can appear by reading once or twice. You have to remember the facts and figures such that you can keep them in mind for next exam also. As per the exam requirement, 600 marks are for general studies paper, 150 marks are for essay writing and 250 marks for the interview round. So, as a result 1000 marks approximately depend on your general studies knowledge.

For the preparation of the exam you should follow certain mantras which will help you to achieve good marks and a rank with full enthusiasm.

  1. Books

One must read the NCERT books to enhance your knowledge regarding history, civics, geography, mathematics and English grammar. Learning effective English will help you to understand the question quickly. Apart from NCERT books, one can study and grasp extra knowledge from journals and magazines which contains previous year exam papers as well as expected questions. Once should read experiences of previous exam toppers which will definitely motivate you in maintaining the self-confidence and determination towards the exam.

  1. Time Table

Before getting more knowledge regarding dos and don’ts, one should prepare a time plan which will maintain the learning and revision time for every time. Time Table can be maintained for a week, for a month or for a year. Try to complete the syllabus 2-3 months before the exam such that you can have enough time for revision and mock tests. Make a schedule in such a way that you can maintain the study level effective by taking small breaks and spending time with your family and friends.

  1. Coaching

Taking coaching is a very good suggestion as it will help you to maintain a daily schedule to learn new things and enhancing your knowledge towards a particular topic. You will get notes and books for learning and taking test to check your knowledge.Group study is also an option for enhancing your knowledge. In a group, you can have a healthy debate regarding a topic which builds confidence and enhance your grasping power regarding a topic. Coaching centre helps you to build your time management.

  1. News Articles

Watching news, reading newspapers in free time will help you to gain extra knowledge. You can discuss with your parents too regarding any event happened in their childhood time. Knowledge which you will get from parents and newspapers will be like short stories but it will help you to memorize the typical points. Articles written by famous authors in newspapers will help you in writing essays and article practise.

  1. Knowledge of Syllabus

You should know the areas which are important in the point of view of examination. You can have last 10 year exam paper which will help you in understanding the exam pattern. Proper knowledge of syllabus will help you to gain confidence in critical areas. History and mathematics knowledge can be taken from books and articles. Even people nowadays post videos in you tube which contains questions of current affairs. As we have year of 365 days but still every day is important in case of learning new amendments happening across the world.

  1. Healthy Life

Health is an important part while preparing for the exams. If your health is not good then you will face difficulties while preparing the exam. Proper diet as well as rest should be maintained along with the study. Good health will help you in proper concentration while preparing any subject. You should follow daily routine which comprises of 30 to 45 minutes of exercise, eat more protein and vitamins rich diet, and take a bath every day, drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

Everyday something is happening worldwide so it is not suggested to waste a minute in doing other thing. Your determination will motivate you in achieving every goal in your life. Time once wasted cannot turn back for you but distractions can wait for you. Quality time and quality knowledge is the mantra of success otherwise wasting time is not a good option.
