Principal Secy. Info Rohit Kansal who is also the Govt spokesperson has said that the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in J&K is 614 of which 390 are active cases (384 in Kmr,6 in Jmu)
216 have recovered &8 unfortunate deaths have been reported;daily positivity rate has shown a downward trend; doubling rate of positive cases have also slowed down.
Kansal said J&K will shortly break the 2000test/day barrier;from100 test/day to1800 test/day, J&K is following aggressive testing strategy; testing capacity increased from 1lab to4 labs;testing rate is1500/day; 1 of the highest in country; but there is no room for complacency
He said that J&K Govt. is conducting a 100% Health Audit for the entire J&K using Swasthya Nidhi App, an innovative step which is likely to complete in coming weeks; more than 8 lakh users have installed the Aarogya Setu App in the UT.
Govt has approved a Rs350 cr.relief package for people affected due to #COVID19 lockdown.They include 1.76lac const workers,5791 Houseboat & shikarawalas, 27000 tourist guides/ponywalas/palkiwalas/pithuwalas, 850 flower growers& street vendors registered with SMC/JMC
SHGs in Umeed &10000 gps of 60000 women entrepreneurs/aggregators will be given Rs25000 upfront and Rs75000 subsequently; 20000 Handloom/handicraft SHGs will get Rs 1 lakh each
Renewal of reg certificates of licenses &other statutory clearances beyond 31/3 to30/6,2020 apprvd;fixed component of power charges of commercial establishments deferred till 30-6-2020. Committee headed by Comm/Secy Ind & Comm set up to clear pending liabilities of suppliers
