District Sheep Husbandry Notification 2020

District : Anantnag

Establishment of Sheep Units under RKVY scheme 25 Ewes Participatory Mode and 10 Ewes Backyard Unit) in District Sheep Husbandry Organization Anantnag for the year 2020-21.

Applications on prescribed format available at Concerned Sheep Development Blocks are invited from the interested persons especially educated unemployed youth of District Anantnag for establishment of RKVY Sheep Units (25 Ewes participatory Mode and 10 Ewes Backyard unit)

The application forms can be obtained from all the Sheep Development Blocks of the District at Akingam, Sagam, Vailoo, Larnoo, Shangus, Chittergul, Verinag, Larkipora,Y.K Pora, Vessu, Hiller Shahabad, Anantnag, Latroo, Semthan, Khiram, Srigufwara w.e.f 08 -07-2020 to 15 -07-2020 on all working days during office hours and to be submitted up to 16 -07-2020.

Selection of beneficiaries shall be made through draw of lots on any convenient date to be fixed by the Chairman of selection committee of district Anantnag and shall be communicated to the applicants in time.

Establishment of Ewe Unit (25 Ewes on Participatory mode), 25 Ewes shall be issued against which beneficiary shall return 05 female Hoggets from the progeny continuously for five years starting from third year from the date of establishment.

Establishment of Backyard Sheep units (10 Ewes) for Chopans/Gujjars only on participatory mode. 10 Ewes shall be issued against which beneficiary shall return

female hoggets from progeny continuously for five years starting from third year from the date of establishment.

Further all the Veterinary Assistant Surgeons are directed to submit the application forms to this office upto 17 -07-2020 after proper scrutinizing so that units may be established properly.

The establishment of Sheep units is subject to availability/allotment of funds by Directorate Sheep Husbandry Department Kashmir.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Applicant should be above 18 or below 60 years of age as on 01-01-2020.

The Applicant should have minimum where withels in the form of shed and minimum land holding to take care of fodder requirement.

The applicant should have some prior experience in sheep rearing.

The applicants should possess minimum 10-15 sheep of his/her own in case he/she applies for backyard scheme.

The applicant should not have taken benefit of any other subsidy or scheme (bankable or non-bankable) & should undertake the same on a affidavit dully attested by a magistrate/public notary.

The application should be dully recommended by the VAS of the concerned area after complete verification on ground.
