Advertisement for Engagement of Research Staff under ICSSR Sponsored Project
Applications are invited in the prescribed format from the suitable eligible candidates for the engagement of research staff on a
part-time basis for the following research positions under a purely time-bound ICSSR Research Project titled “Women-Centric
Sustainable Smart Cities and Quality of Life (QoL): A Cohort Study of North, South, East, West, and Central India” under a Special Call for “2nd Call for ICSSR Longitudinal Studies in Social and Human Sciences (May 2025)” undertaken in the Department of Public Policy and Public Administration, Central University of Jammu, Rahya-Suchani (Bagla), Samba–181143 (Jammu and Kashmir).
The details of the posts are as follows :
Name of the Post(s) : Research Assistant (02)
Duration : 12 Months
Essential Qualification :
Post graduate in social science discipline (minimum 55%) with NET/M.Phil./Ph.D.
Remuneration & Emoluments : Rs. 37,000/- per month consolidated
Name of the Post(s) : Field Investigator(05)
Duration : 05 Months
Essential Qualification :
Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55%
Remuneration & Emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- per month consolidated
Terms and conditions :
This temporary engagement will be for a specific period and services of research staff engaged on part-time basis will automatically stand terminated either with the termination of the project/scheme or even before at the discretion of the
Project Co-ordinator and Director(s).
The engagement will not entitle them any claim for regular employment in the University.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical interview and they will be informed through email. The option for online interviews will be provided on specific request.
The candidates called for interview are not entitled for TA/DA.
The decision of selection committee will be final.
Tenure of the assignment for the post at S. N. 1 shall initially be for a period of 12 months and may be extended for a further 03 months.
Tenure of the assignment for the post at S. N. 2 shall initially be for a period of 04 months and may be extended for a further
01 month on need basis.
