Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification (as on 01.12.2025) :

Candidates should have passed 10th Standard or equivalent examination but not passed Graduation.

Candidates should have adequate knowledge in Microsoft Office and should have undergone at least a one-month (basic/foundation) training programme in Microsoft Office.

Certificate of Microsoft Office training undergone by the candidate shall be produced prior to the Personal Interview.

Essential Requirements :

Nationality: Candidates shall be a citizen of India.

Place of Domicile: The place of domicile of the candidate should be located in the same district of Notified Branch/Office OR within 20 kilometres from Notified Branch/Office.

Desirable Qualification: Possession of a valid Driving License issued in India will be considered desirable.

Criminal Record: Candidates applying for the selection process should not have any criminal record.

Salary/Stipend : 

Starting Basic Pay: ₹19,500-665/4-22,160-830/5-26,310-990/4-30,270-1,170/3-33,780-1,345/3-37,815 plus 11 stagnation increments

National Pension Scheme (NPS): Selected candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme.

Gratuity: Eligible as per rules in force from time to time.

Concessional Loans: Loans available on concessional interest rate as per Bank’s rules.

Medical Insurance: Coverage for self and dependents as per rules in force.

Other Benefits: Additional benefits as per Bank’s policies from time to time.

Age Limit (as on 01.12.2025) :

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 20 years

Date of Birth Range: Candidates should be born between 01.12.2005 and 01.12.2007 (both dates inclusive)

Age Relaxation (Maximum 5 years): Following categories are eligible for upper age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years. Such candidates should be born between 01.12.2000 and 01.12.2007 (both dates inclusive):

Candidates who have previously served or are serving in any Branch or Office of Federal Bank as a temporary Office Assistant/Bankman, Driver or Caretaker, and who have been empanelled by the Bank on or before 01.12.2025.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Application Fee :

Additional Charges: Online transaction charges and GST at applicable rates (18%) to be charged extra.

Payment Mode: Debit Cards, Credit Cards, UPI or Internet Banking.

Refund Policy: Application fee once paid will not be refunded nor would be held in reserve for any future selection. The application fee will also not be refunded in case the application is rejected/not considered by Federal Bank.

Selection Process :

Centre Based Online Aptitude Test: Conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as the assessment partner of Federal Bank.

Test Pattern: Objective type multiple choice questions consisting of 4 sections:

Computer Knowledge – 15 Questions (15 Marks)

English – 15 Questions (15 Marks)

Logical Reasoning – 15 Questions (15 Marks)

Mathematics – 15 Questions (15 Marks)

Total: 60 Questions (60 Marks) in 60 Minutes (Composite time)

Test Medium: English only.

Negative Marking: There will NOT be any negative marking for wrong answers.

Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the Centre Based Online Aptitude Test only will be considered for Personal Interview round. The same will be scheduled at various centres across the country at the discretion of the Bank.

Elimination Stage: Every selection round will be an elimination stage.

Shortlisting: Bank reserves the right to shortlist only the requisite number of candidates in the selection rounds based on administrative requirements.

Confidential Results: Marks/Ratings secured by candidates during any selection round will be confidential and will not be disclosed at any point of time.

General Information/Instructions :

• Probation Period: Candidates selected for the post of Office Assistant will be on probation for a period of 6 months. The period of probation is liable to be extended if any candidate has not satisfactorily completed the initial period of probation.
• Posting Location: Selected candidates shall be posted in any of the Branches/Offices of the Bank and are liable to be transferred to any Branch/Office depending upon the administrative requirements.
• Single Application: Candidates should submit only one application. Candidature of applicants submitting more than one application is liable to be cancelled without notice and compensation.
• ID Proof Requirement: Candidates should confirm their identity using a valid ID proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Voters ID or PAN) to participate in the Centre Based Online Aptitude Test. Ration Card is not considered as a valid id proof.
• Name Matching: Name appearing on the admit card of the candidate should exactly match with the name that appears in the photo identity proof. Candidates who have changed their name will be allowed only if they produce Gazette notification/their registered marriage certificate indicating the changes.
• Late Reporting: Candidates reporting late i.e. after the reporting time specified on the admit card will not be permitted to participate in the Centre Based Online Aptitude Test.
• Malpractice: Candidates found violating instructions/engaging in malpractices will be disqualified and/or may be asked to leave the examination hall.
• Document Upload: Candidates shortlisted from the Centre Based Online Aptitude Test need to download the Fed-Recruit Mobile Application and upload required documents for further processing.
• Medical Fitness: Onboarding of shortlisted candidates will be subject to being declared medically fit by the Bank’s Medical Officer.
• Background Verification: Satisfactory report about character and antecedents by Police Authorities, Credit History including CIBIL/Experian scores and status, satisfactory references from respectable referees required.
• Social Media Prohibition: Recording or sharing the content/details of any selection rounds privately or on social media or discussion forums is strictly prohibited.
• Canvassing Disqualification: Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other influence with regard to their selection shall be considered as a disqualification.

• Step 1: Visit the Bank’s website www.federalbank.in/careers and click on the link ‘Explore Opportunities’ or ‘Join Our Team’.
• Step 2: Click on ‘View Details’ button hosted under ‘Office Assistant’. Read the recruitment notification carefully.
• Step 3: Click on ‘Apply’ button and enter your valid Email address and Mobile Number which will be your registered contact throughout the process.
• Step 4: Click the ‘Send OTP’ button and you will receive an OTP for validation.
• Step 5: Enter your Personal, Academic, Experience and other details as required. Fill all fields in the registration portal correctly.
• Step 6: Upload Photograph and Signature as per prescribed specifications.
• Step 7: Proceed to payment of application fee through Debit Cards, Credit Cards, UPI or Internet Banking.
• Step 8: Upon completion of registration, verify the status through automated Email sent to registered Email address.
• Step 9: Receipt of confirmation mail and E-Receipt is mandatory for participating in the recruitment process.
• Important Note: Candidates are advised to carefully verify the details entered in the registration portal, as no change will be possible after clicking the ‘I Agree’ button.
• Early Submission: Bank reserves the right to close the application window at any time before 08.01.2026 based on volume of applications received. Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their application at the earliest opportunity.
