Applications through online mode are invited from the eligible applicants for the Tenure Posts of Fellowship in Neonatology at 50o Bedded Children Hospital, Government Medical College, Srinagar
About the Unit : The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics, GMC Srinagar is accredited by National Neonatology Forum (NNF) of India as Level IIIA NICU. The Government Children Hospital, an associated Hospital of GMC Srinagar, is a 500 bed hospital caring exclusively for pediatric patients with all the subspecialties including pediatric cardiology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric hematology, pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric surgery and pediatric neurology. Postgraduate Department of Pediatrics is recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC) and has been granted 17 postgraduate seats in Pediatrics (MD course) per year.
The Division of Neonatology has an out-born unit and an inborn unit.
The out- born unit has 125 cribs with 24 Ventilators including 2 HFOVs, 12 bubble CPAPs and HHHFNCs.
It has 7 high end incubators, in-house Echocardiography/Ultrasonography Machine, amplitude EEG (aEEG), Masimo based central monitoring system, transport ventilator, etc.
The inborn unit has so cribs with 8 ventilators and 12 bubble CPAPs. The unit runs high risk new born OPD twice per week. The hospital also has a District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) wherein high-risk neonates are regularly followed up.

Mode of Submission of Application Form :
a) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post before filling in the online application form.
b) Link for filling up online application form for the above position shall be available on the official website of Government Medical College, Srinagar i.e. https://www.gmc.ac.in w.e.f. 10.02.2025 to 18.02.2025 upto 12:00 midnight. No othiner means/mode of application shall be accepted.
c) Candidates are required to register before filling in the application form.
d) After logging into the account, candidates are required to fill in all the requisite fields of One Time Registration (OTR) i.e. personal information, contact information & educational Qualifications, service details and uploading of documents etc.
e) Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of original certificates/ affidavit(s). Photocopies of certificate/affidavit(s) uploaded shall not be entertained. Size of each Certificate/affidavit must be less than or equal to 1 MB in PDF format only.
Selection Process :
a) The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the performance in MCQ based written Test only. The test will be of 01 Hour of duration comprising of 50 Multiple Choice Questions.
b) Selected candidates will be asked for Hard copy of Applications Form(s) along with Original Documents for documents verification, after the issuance of Provisional Selection list.
c) In case of a tie in merit secured by two or more candidates in the written test, preference shall be given to :
i. Overall Percentage of Marks in MBBS.
ii. Age (candidate(s) older in age shall be given preference).
Date & Centre of Examination :
The examination will be held on 22.02.2025 within the campus of Government Medical College, Srinagar.
The details shall be made available on the website of the college i.e. www.gmcs.ac.in.
No representation/request for change in this regard shall be entertained, whatsoever be the reason.
