Applications on the prescribed format are invited from the eligible for engagement as Senior Residents in the disciplines as enumerated at Table “A”. “Those candidates who are not in-service shall be engaged under 5.0. 364 of 2020 Dated. 27-11-2020 (Academic Arrangement basis). However, application forms of the in-service eligible candidates shall be entertained only after fulfillment of all pre-requisites, in accordance with the relevant rules, as envisaged in the J&K Civil service Rules 1979 and production of NOC from the parent department as envisaged In the Circular No. 03-HME of 2019 Dated. 27.05.2019. The engagement
shall be made for a period of 03 years. However, the services of the selected candidates shall be hired Initially for a period of one year and further extension shall be granted subject to better performance of the candidates during their 1% and 2nd years of engagement, to be certified by the concerned HODs after completion of 1% and 2nd year of their engagement.

Candidates interested to apply for the post of Senior Residents at Government Medical College, Srinagar in the aforementioned specialties should download the prescribed application form from the Website http:/www.gmcs.eduin of Government Medical College, Srinagar between 17-10-2024 to 31-10-2024, or they can obtain it from the Xerox Section of Government Medical College, Srinagar during the said period. The application forms should be accompanied with a non-refundable fee of 21,000/- (Rupees One
Thousand) only either in offline mode through J&K Bank, GMC, Srinagar or by making an online payment (Account No. 0349040100007655, IFSC CODE: JAKAODOCTOR). Application forms complete in all respects should reach the office of the Registrar Academics, Government Medical College, Srinagar by or before 31-10-2024.
Terms & Conditions :-
1. Pursuant to Government Order NO. 383-JK (HME) Of 2024 Dated. 20-06-2024, the Eligibility criteria has been fixed as per Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022 issued vide Notification dated 14-02-2022.
2. The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the performance in McQ based Written Test only as prescribed vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20-06-2024.
3. Incomplete application form(s) in any respect or not having relevant certificates/documents/Affidavit/Fee receipt attached therewith shall not be accepted.
4. Conditions for In-service/ Not In-Service Candidates
For in-service candidates: –
The Inservice doctor shall be paid salary as per their LPC
Applicants working in Director of Health Services, Kashmir/Jammu are required to submit their application forms along with No Objection Certificate from their parent Department without which their application forms shall not be entertained as envisaged in Circular No. 03- HME of 2019 Dated. 27.05.2019.
For (not in-service) Academic Arrangement Basis Candidates
Not In-service doctors shall be paid stipend in accordance with S.0. 364 of 2020 Dated. 27-11-2020.
5. The candidates shall have to submit their application forms accompanied with the self-attested copies of the following documents: –
a. MBBS marks sheet of all phases and qualification certificate.
b. MD/MS/DNB/MCh./DM qualification/degree certificate of the respective specialty in respect of Medical candidates.
c. Internship certificate.
d. Date of Birth Certificate.
e. NMC/Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council Registration Certificate.
f. Domicile Certificate.
g. No Objection Certificate (for In-Service candidates only)
h. Affidavits).

6. The candidates shall have to submit an Affidavit duly attested by the Judicial Magistrate to the effect that: –
• he/she has not done Registrarship/Demonstratorship/Senior Residency earlier within or outside J&K Union Territory.
• The Information submitted in the application forms is true and correct and nothing has been concealed therein.
7. Those doctors who have already completed their tenure as Registrar/Demonstrator/ Senior Resident/Tutor in any discipline need not apply and their application forms shall not be considered.
8. A separate application form is to be filled up for each post/speciality and fee is to be deposited separately for each post applied for by the candidate.
9. The maximum age for eligibility to apply shall be 45 years as on cutoff date i.e. 31-10-2024 for in-service and not in-service.
10. In case any declaration made by the candidate, is found false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material/information relevant to his/her appointment, his/her selection will be cancelled ab-intio and he/she shall be liable for action as warranted under rules.
11. There shall be a waiting list which shall remain in force for a period of three months from the date of Issue of the selection list.
12. In terms of S.O. 364 of 2020 Dated. 27.11-2020, the appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis of the appointee shall be terminable on either side by serving a prior notice of one month or on payment of one month’s salary by the appointing authority.
13. In case of a tie in merit secured by two or more candidates in the written test, the candidate(s) older in age shall be given preference.
14. No selected Candidate who joins the institution as Senior Resident shall be given Experience Certificate, if he/she fails to serve on such post/ position for at least six months.
15. At the time of submission of application forms, the candidate shall bring along all relevant documents/certificates in original for physical verification.
