The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamilnadu & Puducherry, Chennai,

invites applications for the recruitment of Meritorious Sports persons in different sports

as listed in paragraph 3 for the following posts:

Only certificates awarded by the authorities mentioned hereunder will be taken into

account as evidence in support of having participated in competitions in any of the

above Sports/Games while considering eligibility of the applicant. A candidate who

cannot produce self-attested copies of at least one certificate issued by one of the

authorities mentioned below, along with his application, need not apply.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

AGE LIMIT as on 01.01.2024:

For Inspector of Income Tax

For Tax Assistant/ Multi-Tasking Staff

Relaxation of Age

18 to 30 years of age

18 to 27 years of age

5 years for General/OBC candidates

10 years in case of SC/ST candidates

(As per Govt. of India instructions for

Meritorious Sports persons)

ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

For Income Tax Inspectors: –

(i) Degree from a recognized University or equivalent

For Tax Assistants: –

Degree from a recognized University or equivalent

Having Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key depressions per hour.

For Multi-Tasking Staff: –

(i) 10th class pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university

SPORTS/DISCIPLINES FOR WHICH APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED AND THE VACANCIES TO BE FILLED
