For Science Subjects:
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

For Other than Science Subjects:

Essential Requirements:
Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT as on date of registration shall only be considered.
Exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet shall only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%).
Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination are also eligible for Other than Science Subjects and would be given an option of appearing in both examinations in one sitting.
Salary/Stipend :
1st Year: ₹30,000/- per month (In Hand: ₹21,000/- + Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹9,000/-)
2nd Year: ₹33,000/- per month (In Hand: ₹23,100/- + Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹9,900/-)
3rd Year: ₹36,500/- per month (In Hand: ₹25,550/- + Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹10,950/-)
4th Year: ₹40,000/- per month (In Hand: ₹28,000/- + Contribution to Corpus Fund: ₹12,000/-)
Additional Benefits:Â Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable), Dress and Travel allowances, Ration, Clothing, Accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) as per existing rules.
Seva Nidhi Package: Approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs after four years (₹5.02 lakh candidate contribution + ₹5.02 lakh Government contribution, excluding interest).
Insurance Cover: Non-contributory Life Insurance cover of ₹48 Lakhs for the duration of engagement period.

Refund Policy:Â Application fee and other charges once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances and neither the same be held reserved for any other recruitment or selection process.

Selection Process :
Phase-I – Online Test:Â Objective type test (bilingual – English & Hindi except English paper)
Science Subjects: 60 minutes – Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus
Other than Science Subjects: 45 minutes – English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
Both (Science & Other than Science): 85 minutes – Physics, Mathematics, English and RAGA
Marking Pattern: +1 mark for correct answer, 0 for unattempted, -0.25 for wrong answer
Normalisation of Marks:Â Marks will be normalised to account for variation in difficulty levels across different sessions

Physical Fitness Test (PFT-I & PFT-II)
Adaptability Test-I (Objective type written test)
Adaptability Test-II (As per policy in vogue)
Physical Fitness Test Details:
PFT-I: 1.6 Km run (Male: within 7 minutes, Female: within 8 minutes)
PFT-II for Male: 10 Push-ups (1 min), 10 Sit-ups (1 min), 20 Squats (1 min)
PFT-II for Female: 10 Sit-ups (1 min 30 sec), 15 Squats (1 min)
Phase-III – Medical Examination:Â Conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards including baseline investigations (Blood tests, Urine tests, X-Ray, ECG, USG for females, etc.)
Appeal Medical Board: Available for candidates declared medically unfit (Fee: ₹40/-)
Final Selection:Â Based on state-wise merit, medical fitness, availability of vacancies, and meeting all eligibility criteria
General Information/Instructions
Marital Status:Â Only unmarried candidates (male & female) are eligible. Candidates shall undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period. Marriage during service will result in discharge.
Pregnancy Policy:Â Female candidates shall undertake not to get pregnant during engagement period. Pregnancy will result in discharge and debar from Regular Cadre selection.
Medical Standards:
Height: Minimum 152 cms for male and female (relaxation for North East/hilly regions/Lakshadweep)
Weight: Proportionate to height and age
Chest: Male – minimum 77 cms with 5 cms expansion; Female – minimum 5 cms expansion
Vision: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6, Colour Vision: CP-II
Hearing: Normal – able to hear forced whisper from 6 meters
Dental: Minimum 14 dental points with healthy gums
No history of LASIK/PRK surgery
Body Tattoo:Â Permanent body tattoos not permitted except on inner forearms, back of hand/palm, and tribal tattoos as per custom. Offensive tattoos prohibited.
NDPS Policy:Â Zero tolerance to consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. Consumption is a reject criterion.
Domicile Categories:Â Permanent Domicile, COAFP-I (Children of Serving Air Force Personnel), COAFP-II (Children of Retired/Discharged/Deceased Air Force Personnel)
Engagement Period:Â Four years under Air Force Act 1950
Regular Cadre Opportunity:Â Up to 25% of each batch may be enrolled in regular cadre based on performance and organisational requirements
Leave Entitlement:Â 30 days annual leave per year plus sick leave as per medical advice
Medical & CSD Facilities:Â Available at Service Hospitals during engagement period
No ESM Status:Â Agniveervayu will not be eligible for Ex-Servicemen status after completion of four years
NDA/AFCAT Attempts:Â Permitted to appear (maximum three attempts) during engagement period subject to conditions
Identification Requirements:Â AADHAAR Card mandatory (exemption for J&K, Ladakh, Assam, Meghalaya candidates)
Examination Centres:Â Candidates to indicate five choices but CASB reserves right to allot any centre
No TA/DA:Â No travel allowance or daily allowance admissible for any stage of selection
Mobile Phones Prohibited:Â Mobile phones/smart watches/electronic devices prohibited in testing areas. Possession will result in permanent debarment.
Malpractices:Â Candidates found indulging in malpractices/unfair means shall be debarred permanently
