Eligibility Criteria :
Masters Degree in Water Resources Engg./Hydrology/Civil Engg./Agricultural Engg./Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS or equivalent. The Candidate must have carried out the dissertation in the field of Water Resources/Hydrology.
M.Tech in Civil Engg./Water Resources Engg./ Hydrology/ Remote Sensing & GIS or equivalent. The Candidate must have carried out dissertation in the field of water resources/hydrology
M.Tech in Geology/ Geophysics/ Applied Geology/ Earth Science or Geo infomatics /Geomatics/Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent (with specialization/ dissertation in Geosciences).
M.Sc. in Geology/ Geophysics or equivalent subject with Post graduate diploma (PGD) in Remote Sensing and GIS (with any of the subject: physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science at B.Sc. level)
M.Sc or equivalent from a recognized university or institution in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Geomatics/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ Computer Science/ IT/ or equivalent with Physics or Mathematics as one subject at Graduation level.
M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch/M.Plan or equivalent from a recognized university or institution in Physics/Maths/Geography/Geology/Civil Engineering/ Geomatics/ Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/Computer Science/ IT/Architecture& Planning/Heritage science & Technology
Master degree in Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Physics/Plant Physiology/Agronomy/ Environmental Science/Forestry/Ecology/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics or equivalent.
Master degree in Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Physics/Plant Physiology/Environmental Science/ Environmental management/ Forestry/Ecology/Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics or equivalent.
M.Sc degree from a recognized university or institution in Physics/Applied Physics /Atmospheric science/ Meteorology/ Climatology/ Environmental Science/ Maths. Candidates should have studied Physics or Maths as subject at Graduate level. (OR) M.Tech degree Atmospheric Science/Applied Physics / Meterology/ Climatology/ RS & GIS (with specialisation in Atmospheric Science or equivalent)
M.Sc from a recognized university or institution Physics/Applied Physics/Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Atmosphric Science/Meteorology/ Environmental Science Candidates must have studied Physics/Mathematics as a subject at the Graduate level
M.Sc in Forestry/ Ecology/ Botany/ Environmental Sciences/ Wildlife Sciences/ Biodiversity & Conservation. (OR) M.Tech or its equivalent in Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent with dissertation in Forestry/ Ecology
Age Limit (as on 14-12-2025)
Maximum Age Limit: 28 Years. but relaxable by 5 years in case of SC / ST and 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates.
Age relaxations as per Government of India orders are applicable to Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Widows, Divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried.
Salary :
Fellowship Stipend as JRF will be ₹ 37,000 per month, with a possibility to be increased to ₹ 42,000 per month, as SRF and HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid if they are not provided with Hostel accommodation and Medical benefits for self will be admissible as per extant rules.
No DA will be paid. The fellowship amount shall be taken as Basic pay for this purpose

Selection Process :
Mere possession of the qualification required for JRF does not automatically guarantee selection or eligibility to be called for interview.
There will be an initial screening based on the academic performance and other parameters given in the online applications and only those who screened-in, will be called for Interview.
The call letters for the Interview to the shortlisted candidates will be sent only by e-mail.
The result of the interview will be announced in the ISRO website subsequently.

The application for Online Registration for the Recruitment of Eleven (11) Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) (Temporary) in different projects is/are to be hosted from 1000 hours on 21.11.2025 to 1730 hours on 14.12.2025 on lIRS website www.iirs.gov.in.

The application for on-line registration will be hosted in the ISRO web-site i.e. www.iirs.gov.in during the period from 1000 hours on 21.11.2025 to 1730 hours on 14.12.2025.

Applications will be received through on-line mode only. Upon on-line registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be provided in the online application correctly and compulsorily (Interview Call letter will be sent by e-mail only).
