Essential qualifications :
1. Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Artificial Intelligence/ M. Tech. CSE or Equivalent.
2. The candidate should possess at least two years of research experience within the broader domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI), demonstrating a deep understanding of the field’s principles, methodologies, and practices.
Desirable qualifications :
1. Proficiency in Deep Learning and Machine Learning: The candidate should have a proven track record of creating, implementing, and validating deep learning and machine learning algorithms. Proficiency in various neural network architectures, optimization techniques, and model evaluation metrics is essential.
2. Specialization in Medical Imaging and Genomic Data: The candidate should possess a specialized background in working with medical imaging and genomic data. A demonstrated ability to design, develop, and evaluate algorithms specifically tailored to the unique challenges posed by these data types is crucial.
3. Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, and/or other relevant libraries, is essential.
The candidate should be capable of efficiently translating research concepts into functional code.
4. Publication and Presentation Skills: Evidence of previous publication in reputable conferences or journals within the AI and medical imaging/genomic research fields & Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, are important for effectively conveying research findings.

Emoluments :
i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
ii)Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i)
How to Apply :
1. Candidates are required to apply online through University website www.iust.ac.in from January 20th ,2026.No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.
2. Candidates shall apply online and thereafter submit the hard copy of the application form along with self-attested copies of all testimonials in the office of the Dean School of Health Sciences, IUST
Terms and conditions :
1. The selected candidate will be on a contract for one year.
2. No hostel / housing will be provided.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit. The date and time of interview will be informed via email.
4. Selection committee reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting the eligible candidates.
5. Candidates shall apply online and thereafter submit the hard copy of the application form along with self-attested copies of all testimonials in the office of the Dean School of Health Sciences, IUST.
