Applications are invited as per Annexure-1 with supported documents for the temporary positions are invited from the eligible candidates for short term on contractual basis of Young Professional-I (YP-I) for on-farm research programme under All India Coordinated Research Project for Dryland Agriculture (AICRPDA) and AICRPDA-NICRA project initially for a period up to 31st March, 2025.

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. (Ag.) (any discipline)
Desirable Qualifications :
M.Sc (Ag.) or Ph. D. in Agronomy/Soil Science
Experience in conducting field trials w.r.t. natural resource management (NRM), data recording and computation.
Knowledge of local language, good computer skills etc.
How to apply :
The application in the prescribed format along with attested testimonials/certificates must reach to Dr. A. P. Singh, Principal Investigator, All India Coordinated Research Project on Dryland Agriculture (AICRPDA), Advanced Centre for Rainfed Agriculture (ACRA), SKUAST-J, Rakh Dhiansar, BariBrahamana-181133, Samba, J & K (UT) on or before 28-11-2024.
Interview shall be held at the Directorate of Research, SKUAST-J, Main Campus, Chatha, Jammu. The date and time of the interview shall be
communicated to the shortlisted candidates, separately. The said advertisement will also be available on University website www.skuast.org
Terms and conditions :
The engagement shall be initially for a period up to 31st March, 2025.
The minimum age for Young Professional-I (YP-I) will be 21 years and maximum 45 years.
The appointee has to serve at AICRPDA, Rakh Dhiansar, SKUAST-J and respective villages adopted for on-farm
research under AICRPDA (RIFS) and AICRPDA-NICRA in district Samba.
The engagement shall stand terminated automatically on expiry/completion of the aforesaid period of engagement.
However, the duration of engagement can be extended for subsequent two more years (06 months at a time) subject to the requirement of the services of YP-1 in the project and satisfactory performance of the candidate after evaluation by the Principal Investigator.
The appointee can be terminated at any time by the University/Principal In vestigator without assigning any reason
thereof.
The appointee shall have no legal claim for regular adjustment/absorption in SKUAST-J after completion/winding up of the project.
The appointee shall have to report within 10 days to PI of the project from the issuance of appointment order failing which the engagement shall stand cancelled automatically.
The appointee shall have to produce No Objection Certificate/Relieving Order from his/her present employer at the time of joining.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
