In supersession of Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2024/RG/GS dated 03.01.2024, applications are hereby invited from Civil Judges (Senior Division) having not less than five years of service, as on the date of notification, in the cadre of Civil Judges(Senior Division), for filling up 09 posts of District Judges, in level J-5 (144840-194660) by accelerated promotion through Limited Competitive Examination (Jump up Promotion) in accordance with Rule 5(1)(b) read with Rule 7 of the Jammu & Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009 as amended from time to time.
Method of Recruitment/Eligibility:
(1) The limited competitive test shall consist of two written papers. The first paper regarding questions relating to Laws and Procedures carrying 100 marks will have duration of three hours. The second paper carrying 80 marks, will require the candidate to frame and write in a duration of 90 minutes, two judgments (each carrying 40 marks) one in Civil matter and the other in Criminal one.
(ii) Viva voce test shall carry 20 marks.
(iii) The selection of the candidate shall be made on the basis of cumulative grade value obtained in the written examination and viva voce test.
(iv) Only those candidates who secure 70% or more marks shall be declared successful. The appointments to the post shall be made on vacancies available for the category (b) of Rule 5 on the basis of inter-se merit of successful candidates.
The applications should reach this Registry on or before 11th August, 2024.
Note:-
(i) The detailed syllabus for the examination shall be same as notified vide High Court Notification No. 1142 dated 27.06.2024.
(ii) The candidates who have already applied pursuant to earlier advertisement notification No. 02 of 2024/RG/GS dated 03.01.2024 need not apply again.
