Online application forms are invited from eligible candidates of UT of J&K for engagement against the below mentioned post in Government Medical College, Anantnag on academic arrangement basis under S.O.-364 of 2020, dated 27.11.2020 initially for a period of one year extendable up to a maximum of six years (on year-to-year basis subject to the satisfactory performance) or till the selection is made by the competent authority on regular basis, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Qualification :

10+2 with science or above qualification, with Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (B.Sc. Nursing may be preferred), from a recognized institute/state medical faculty/J&K Paramedical Council.

Important Dates :

Date of commencement for submission of online application : 06.02.2026

Cut-off / Last date for submission of online application form : 20.02.2026 (up to 4:00 PM)

Last date for submission of hard copy of application form along with requisite documents & Bank Demand Draft in the office of Administrative Officer, GMC Anantnag at Main Campus Dialgam : 25.02.2026

Criteria for Selection :

The selection for the post shall be made on the basis of merit obtained in the written OMR examination only.

TERMS & CONDITIONS :

Nature of Engagement :

The engagement against the advertised posts shall be on Academic Arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27.11.2020 only, without conferment of any preferential claim on the engagement for regular appointment against the post.

Selection Criteria :

Based on the performance in the written test only.

Period :

For a period of one-year extendable up to a maximum of six years (on year-to-year basis subject to the satisfactory performance) or till the selection is made by the competent authority on regular basis, whichever is earlier. However, no extension beyond six years shall be given under any circumstances as per S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27.11.2020.

Salary :

The engagee shall be paid salary at the minimum of pay scale in accordance with S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27.11.2020.

Agreement :

The selected candidate shall execute a bond/undertaking that he/she shall not leave the job before the completion of one-year contract. Abandoning/termination of the engagement at the case may be will require one month’s prior notice on either side, failing which the salary will not be paid for one month in cumbent which shall always remain in deposit with the department and shall be released on completion of term.

Age :

The age of the applicant at the time of submission of application form must not be:

Below: 18 years; and

Above: 65 years

Domicile :

The candidate(s) seeking to apply for the advertised posts shall be Domicile(s) of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date, i.e., last date of submission of online application forms, unless otherwise extended, shall be 25.02.2026

NOTE :

The candidates must be in possession of all required documents on 25.02.2026, and no document/certificate issued beyond the cut-off date shall be accepted/entertained under any circumstances.

The candidates shall upload the documents in PDF format only. Otherwise, his/her application form shall be treated as deficient and rejected.

Candidates may note that their candidature/admission in the examination will remain provisional, subject to the verification and validity of their documents relating to educational/technical qualifications verified by the Appointing Authority.

In case the posts of the aforesaid category get filled up on regular basis during the intervening period from the date of issuance of notification to the date of selection, such posts shall be deemed to have been withdrawn/deleted from the notification and the final selection shall be made as per availability of posts at the time of selection.

INSTRUCTION FOR APPLYING ONLINE :

Interested eligible candidates are required to apply online through the official website of GMC Anantnag, www.gmcanantnag.ac.in, from 06.02.2026 to 20.02.2026.

Fee of Rs. 300/- (Non-refundable) and also submit hard copy of application form along with requisite documents in the office of Administrative Officer, GMC Anantnag, at Main Campus Dialgam.

Candidates are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the examination before filling the online application form.

Application form once submitted successfully will not be editable. Candidates will be solely responsible for all the information submitted by them. In case of any information found incorrect/deficient/incoherent at any stage, the application form shall be summarily rejected.
