Applications from the domiciles of UT of Jammu & Kashmir are invited for walk-in-interview for the following position available in the Community Radio Station (FM 91.2) of Islamic University of Science & Technology, Kashmir purely on contract basis for a period of six months :
Post : Radio Jockey (RJ)
Vacancy : 01
Eligibility : Graduate/Postgraduate (UG/PG) degree in Journalism/ Mass Communication or a related field. Minimum one year of experience in radio presenting, podcasting, voice- over work, or public speaking.
Important note / dates :
• Interested candidates should report to the Community Radio Station, IUST along with all relevant documents in original and a set of Xerox copies (Self-attested) for the interview on 19-12-2025 at 11:00 am. Candidates should report to the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time for scrutiny of documents.
• Consolidated monthly remuneration: Rs. 25000/- (twenty-five thousand only).
Terms and Conditions / Instructions :
1. The engagement is specific to the Community Radio Station and shall not confer any right whatsoever on the person engaged to claim continuation or otherwise.
2. All relevant information / Updates/ Addendum/ Corrigendum shall be uploaded on University website www.iust.ac.in. only. The Candidates are advised to remain in touch with University website and notifying the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on University part.
3. Candidates who have been awarded Under Graduate / Post Graduate degree from Foreign University should enclose Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi or relevant body without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected.
4. The University reserves the right to defer / not to filling up of post advertised here-in above, without assigning any reason thereof.
5. The University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of posts advertised here-in-above.
6. The appointed candidates shall be bound to act in conformity with the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and rules of the University as well as a code of professional ethics as prescribed or may come into force.
7. The engagement order / salary in favour of the recommended candidate(s) shall not be issued until a satisfactory report about his / her character & antecedents from relevant agencies is not received.
8. In case of any disputes /suites or legal proceedings against the University, the jurisdiction shall be confined to the court of Srinagar only.
9. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for appearing in the test / interview.
