Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) to work on project titled “Authenticating J & K Domicile Certification using Biometric based QR Codes” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, in favor of Dr. Shaiqa Nasreen (PI), Assistant Professor,
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Islamic University of Science and Technology, The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Name of the Position : Research Assistant
Monthly emoluments : Rs. 20,000/ month (Consolidated) subject to release of funds by the Funding agency
Eligibility :
Essential Qualification : B.Tech in ECE/CSE/IT with a minimum of 60% marks.
OR
M. Tech in ECE/CSE/IT with a minimum of 55% marks
Desirable : Specialization in web application development and or database management
Last date of receipt of application : 15/11/2025

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.
The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.
Eligible candidates must bring all the testimonials/certificates (in original and one attested copy) at the time of the interview.
No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.
Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualifications, experience etc at the time of appearing in the interview.
In case a candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve a one-month notice period (or one month salary).
The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of the university and/or funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
