NOTICE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE ENGAGEMENT AS FULL TIME LEGAL AID COUNSELS ON MONTHLY HONORARIUM BASIS IN LADCS OFFICEs IN THE UT OF J&K UNDER J&K LEGAL SERVICES AUTHORITY.

The Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS), involves full time engagement of lawyers, dealing exclusively with criminal matters at every stage starting from the pre-arrest, arrest. & remand stage to the conclusion of trials and appeals etc. The Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS) has been implemented in all the 20 districts of UT of J&K with the objective of providing effective, qualitative and competent legal services in a. professional manner to the underprivileged and disadvantaged section of the society besides those mentioned in Section 12 of Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.

Accordingly, applications are invited from eligible lawyers (for eligibility and other conditions please visit SLSA website jkslsa.gov.in) having requisite qualification full time engagement on monthly Honorarium basis for a period of two year extend to further period of one year on performance basis for the below mentioned posts shown against their respective districts given below:

The other guidelines and the Scheme of engagement of LADCs along with application form may be downloaded from the official website of SLSA (http://jkslsa.gov.in) which is also available for perusal on the Notice board of DLSA concerned. The details terms and conditions with regard to qualification, eligibility etc are mentioned in the guidelines.

The duly filled application form along the self-attested copies of documents shall be submitted to respective DLSA personally against proper receipt in the office of the Secretary, DLSA latest before 4.00 pm on August 20, 2024. Any application received after due date and time shall not be considered/ entertained.

Note :

• The engagement shall be on a monthly Honorarium only and shall not confer any rights or assurances beyond the scope of this contract

• The lawyers engaged under this contract will not be permitted to undertake any private cases or retainership.
