Applications are invited from eligible and desirous candidates for a Walk-in Interview for the temporary positions of Assistant Professors on academic arrangement basis in the Faculty of Dairy Technology on 03.03.2026. The position is purely on contractual basis.

1. Dairy Engineering – 01 Post
Qualification :
Master’s in Dairy Engineering / Food Engineering / Food Engineering.
Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Dairy Engineering.
Candidate having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines listed above under point 1 and 2 will also be eligible. However, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
2. Dairy Business Management – 01 Post
Qualification :
Master’s degree in Dairy Business Management / Dairy Economics
OR
Economics
Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics / Agribusiness Management with specialization in Dairy Economics / Dairy Business Management
Candidate having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. However, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
3. Dairy Microbiology – 01 Post
Qualification :
Master’s degree in Dairy Microbiology
OR
Master’s in Veterinary Microbiology with specialization in Dairy Microbiology
Candidate having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. However, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
4. Dairy Chemistry – 01 Post
Qualification :
Master’s in Dairy Chemistry
OR
Master’s in Veterinary or Animal Sciences with specialization in Dairy Chemistry
OR
Candidate having Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. However, he/she doesn’t have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
Best scholarships for J&K students after 12th
Note: Essential qualification at graduate level for the post of Assistant Professor in Faculty of Dairy Technology: B.Tech. / B.E. / B.Sc. (Four Years Degree Programme) / B.V.Sc. & A.H.
Consolidated wages will be Rs 35,000/- per month for Master’s and Rs 45,000/- for Ph.D. candidates.
The interview shall be conducted on 03-03-2026 at 02:00 PM in the office of Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, SKUAST-J, R.S. Pura 181102, Jammu (J&K). However, the candidates should report at 10:00 AM positively so that their documents shall be screened on time.
The application form complete in all respect along with attested copies of the certificates and accompanied with Demand Draft of Rs 300/- drawn in favour of Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, payable at R.S. Pura, should be deposited in the office at the time of interview.

Terms and conditions for academic arrangement are as under:
The engagement shall be purely on contract basis.
No legal right to claim his/her regularization / appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post in the University would be entertained. In event of the relinquishing of the engagement, one month notice is essential.
The appointment is for one semester or till the sanctioned posts are filled through recruitment process by the Competent Authority, whichever is earlier. An extension for one more semester may be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the contractee and availability of the funds and requirement of the faculty.
No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
The contractual positions advertised herein can be withdrawn at any stage as per the decision of the University.
