Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Project Associate-I/JRF in DBT funded wheat Network project entitled “Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience. Productivity and Nutritional quality”.
The position is temporary and co-terminus with the completion of project. The appointees shall have no claim for their absorption in SKUAST-Kashmir
Position : Project Associate- I/JRF
Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding)/ M.Sc Plant Sciences
Desirable Qualification :
Experience in trait phenotyping in the field and under controlled conditions on different traits in the field
Emolument : 37,000 + HRA PM
Note : Non-NET candidates will get a salary of Rs 25000 +HRA PM.
Responsibilities :
1. The incumbent is expected to work in the wheat field to record data on different traits.
2. The incumbent also needs to work in Molecular Breeding Laboratory/ Green House for conducting different experiments.
3. The incumbent shall help PI/Co-PI in day-to-day project related activities, documentation of work/ preparation of progress reports, publications and maintenance of financial records related to project.
4. The incumbent needs to travel to attend meetings and other trainings/ demonstrations related to project .
