Eligibility Criteria :

Graduate Apprentice

A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University
A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.

Technician Apprentice

A Diploma in Engineering or Technology Granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology by a University.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Govt. or Central Govt. as equivalent to (a) and (b) above.

Graduate or Equivalent in general Streams such as B. A, B. Sc & B.Com.

A degree in any subject (other than engineering / technology) of minimum three years duration granted by a Statutory University.
A degree in any subject (other than engineering / technology) of minimum three years duration granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.
Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to degree (other than engineering/ technology).

Trade Apprentice

Salary :

Graduate Apprentice: Rs 18000/-
Technician Apprentice: Rs 15000/-
Graduate or Equivalent in general Streams such as B. A, B. Sc & B.Com.: Rs 15000/-
Trade Apprentice: 14877/-

Selection Process :

Eligible candidates for various categories will be sourced / extracted from the Apprenticeship Portals Database.
Selection shall be based on merit as per mark secured in the degree/ diploma course as mentioned against each Apprentice posts.
First preference shall be given to candidates belonging to the State in which the Power Station (s) is/ are located.
After allocation of seats to candidates belonging to the state, if no sufficient candidates are found; selection for rest nos. of seats shall be based on the merit as per marks secured in the Graduation / diploma engineering course by the candidates belonging to other NE states of domicile.
List of selected candidates will be made available at www.neepco.co.in. The call letters will be sent through registered email only

How to Apply :

Step I- Registration

The Candidates must get himself / herself enrolled / registered with Board of Practical Training (BOPT), through online enrolment at National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0), in https://nats.education.gov.in/
Complete online registration and obtain a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment.
For instance, there may be candidates who possess qualification of both B. Tech and Diploma. If he/ she apply against Technician (Diploma) training slots, he/she must register as Diploma only in the NATS portal

Step II- Application

After successful online registration at https://nats.education.gov.in/ and receiving a valid enrolment ID, the candidate must log in using the registered ID and Password at NATS2.0 Portal.
In the Dashboard, go to the search box on the right, search for “NEEPCO” and locate the Advertisement ID as specified in the official advertisement.
Click Apply against the relevant Establishment of NEEPCO and select the desired stream in line with fulfilment of educational qualifications and eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement

ITI Trade Apprentice (Electrician, Lineman, Plumber &Fitter)

Candidates must apply online at National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and no other mode of application will be accepted.
The Candidates must get himself / herself enrolled / registered with National Promotion Scheme (NAPS), through online enrolment at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and poses a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment.

Closing of online application (through NATS / NAPS Portal): 8 th November,2025
