Educational Qualifications :
- Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
Essential Post Educational Qualification Experience
- At least 01 year post qualification experience in company secretariat of any unlisted/listed company
- Internship/training shall not be counted as experience
Area of Experience Required
- Experience in secretarial matters including:
- Drafting of agenda, minutes, official letters etc.
- Conducting Board/Committees’ meetings and General Body Meetings
- Compliance with statutory requirements under Companies Act and other statutory compliance thereof
Salary/Stipend :
- Pay Band: Rs. 30,000 – 3% – 1,20,000
- Initial Basic Pay: Rs. 30,000/-
- Annual CTC: Approximately ₹ 9.96 Lakhs
- Components: Basic Pay + IDA + HRA + Perks @ 35% of basic pay
- Retention Bonus: Rs. 20,000/- upon completion of each 6 months of service
- PF/EPS/Gratuity: As per POWERGRID rules (PF deduction @ 12% of Basic Pay and DA)
- Mobile Phone & Digital Services: Reimbursement limited to Rs. 45,000/- (excl. taxes) for block of 2 years
- Leave Benefits: 12 days Casual Leave, 10 days Sick Leave, 30 days Earned Leave per year + EL encashment, Maternity/Paternity Leave, Quarantine Leave as per rules
- Medical Benefits: For self and family (spouse, 2 dependent children & dependent parents) – OPD ceiling: One month’s Basic Pay + DA annually, IPD coverage: Rs. 5 Lakhs medical insurance
- Group Personal Accident Insurance: Covered under POWERGRID scheme
Age Limit (as on 31.12.2025) :
- Upper Age Limit: 29 years
- Minimum Age: 18 years (Indian Nationals only eligible)
- Age Relaxation for OBC (NCL): 3 years
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years
- Age Relaxation for PwBD: As per Government of India directives
- Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen: Period spent in service plus 3 years (subject to conditions)
- Age Relaxation for Candidates with POWERGRID Experience: Up to maximum 5 years (over and above category relaxation) for those who worked as CS Professional on contract for at least one year

Selection Process :
- Selection will involve Interview only of eligible and shortlisted candidates
- Management reserves right to conduct a Screening Test to restrict number of candidates for Personal Interview if required
- If Screening Test conducted:
- It shall be for elimination purpose only with no weightage in final merit
- Qualifying marks: UR category – 40%, Reserved category – 30%
- Candidates qualifying will be shortlisted for interview based on marks in prescribed ratio
- Final Selection: Based on marks secured in Interview only
- Qualifying Marks in Interview:
- UR/EWS: 40%
- OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
- Candidates can appear in Screening Test/Personal Interview in Hindi or English
- Final engagement subject to medical fitness as per company’s prescribed standards
- Selected candidates will be empanelled as per merit and appointment offered based on actual requirement from Subsidiaries/SPV companies
General Information/Instructions :
- Engagement Nature: Purely temporary and contract basis initially for 2 years, extendable for one year each for 3 years (maximum 5 years total)
- Employment Type: Fixed Term Employment (FTE) – No claim for regular employment or relaxation in future regular posts
- Work Location: Subsidiaries/SPV companies of POWERGRID across various locations
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible
- PwBD Sub-categories Identified:
- VI – Blind (B) / Low Vision (LV)
- HI – Deaf (D) / Hard of Hearing (HH)
- LD – One Arm/Both Arm/One Leg/Both Leg/Cerebral Palsy/Leprosy Cured/Dwarfism/Acid Attack victims/Muscular Dystrophy/Spinal Deformity/Spinal Injury
- Multiple Disabilities involving above
- PwBD Eligibility: Persons suffering from not less than 40% of relevant permanent disability eligible for relaxation
- Health Standards: Candidates must meet POWERGRID’s health standards – no relaxation allowed
- Certificate Requirements:
- OBC (NCL): Latest certificate based on income for FY 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, issued on/after 01.04.2025
- EWS: Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-25, issued on/after 01.04.2025
- SC/ST/PwBD: Certificates in GOI prescribed format from competent authority
- Opportunity for Regular Posts: POWERGRID may provide opportunity to eligible FTEs (after minimum 2 years) for selection to regular posts through internal selection process
- Training/Internship: Will not be counted as experience
- Date Calculation: Date of issuance of final mark sheet shall be taken as date of acquiring qualification; Result Declaration Date treated as date of ICSI Membership Certificate
- Govt/PSU Employees: Required to apply through proper channel with NOC
- Multiple Applications: Only one application per candidate; if multiple, last registered/fee-paid application considered
- Legal Jurisdiction: NCT of Delhi for any case/dispute
