The Rajya Sabha Secretariat proposes to from a panel of Consultant Interpreters for providing simultaneous interpretation in the Rajya Sabha and its Committee meetings from the regional languages Kashmiri and Dogri to Hindi/English.

The individuals, who want to apply for empanelment as Consultant Interpreters, should be post-graduate in Hindi or English with the regional language at the graduation level or vice-versa with aptitude for simultaneous interpretation. Qualification can be relaxed in case of deserving candidates.

The empaneled persons will be provided due training in simultaneous interpretation by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. There will be no age limit. Remuneration will be paid to the persons so selected, on per sitting/interpretation basis.
