Applications are invited for the post of one Lab Assistant and one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under project titled “Source Apportionment of Ambient Aerosols in Non-attainment City of Srinagar”. The post will be filled up on contract basis for one year and can be extended to one more year depending upon the availability of funds and performance of the candidate. Candidates will have no right to claim any regular appointment.

Name of the Posts : Lab assistant

Monthly Fellowship : Rs. 20000/- + HRA (as applicable)

Essential Qualification : Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized institute.

Name of the Posts : Junior Research Fellow

Monthly Fellowship : Rs. 37000/-+ HRA (as applicable)

Essential Qualification :
1. M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences/ Atmospheric Sciences with a minimum of
55% marks.

2. UGC-NET (Category 1/Category 2/Category 3) /CSIR-NET/ GATE in relevant subject

General Terms and Conditions :

1. The candidate will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit and will be informed via e-mail. Mere fulfilling the minimum qualifications will not entitle the candidate for being called for an interview. The decision of the selection committee will be final in this regard.

2. Candidates shortlisted for interview should appear in person with originals of degree certificates (one set of Xerox) and date of birth proof along with any other relevant information (e.g. experience certificate, copies of publications if any, awards, recommendations letters, etc.).

3. The above fellowship is purely on a temporary basis initially for one year period and can be extended to one more year subject to fund availability and performance.

4. The selected individual may be assigned any other duties from time to time commensurate with his/her qualifications.

5. Candidate will be mostly stationed at Jammu but may be asked to visit Srinagar for project work.

6. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
