Approval accorded vide letter No. MD/Poshan/47270-77 dated: 24.12.2025, issued by the Mission Director, Poshan J&K for filling up of various vacancies of Sanginis (AWWs) and Sahayikas (AWHs) in Anganwadi Centres of Poshan Project Vijaypur as per the details given below:

Applications are invited in the prescribed Performa in Annexure βAβ from the eligible candidates for engagement as Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) on Honorarium basis for aforementioned posts of Anganwadi Centres. The important dates/details are as under:

Eligibility for Anganwadi Workers (AWWs)
Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.
Women candidates in the age group of 18β37 years shall be eligible as on 01.01.2026.
Candidate should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated. Name in voter list of that ward shall be considered as proof of residence. If name appears in voter list along with parents, a certificate of being unmarried issued by the concerned Tehsildar is required. In case of dispute, ward residence certificate from concerned SDM/ACR shall be considered.
Minimum qualification: 10+2 and maximum Graduation. Candidate must be available in the ward; 10+2 candidates from adjoining ward can be considered with approval of Mission Director, POSHAN.
If no suitable candidate is available in adjoining ward, candidate from nearest ward may be considered with approval of MD, Mission POSHAN.
Weightage shall be given on basis of marks obtained in 10+2.
Selection shall be purely on merit basis; no other criteria will be considered.
In case of tie in merit, candidate with higher age shall be preferred.
Candidates with qualification higher than graduation shall not be considered.
If eligible candidate is available within the family of retiring AWWs/AWHs, that candidate shall qualify for additional two percent points.
Eligibility for Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs)
Selection of Helper shall be restricted to the electoral ward where Anganwadi Centre is located.
Women candidates in the age group of 18β37 years shall be eligible as on 01.01.2026.
Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.
Minimum qualification: Matriculation. Selection shall be made on merit as per Government Order No. SWD-ICDS/43/2022 dated 14.08.2023.
If no matriculate candidate is available, candidates with qualification not less than 8th standard may be considered.
The committee shall select the most destitute/needy married woman of the ward. If no married candidate is available, unmarried female may be considered.
If eligible candidate is available within family of retiring AWWs/AWHs, the said candidate shall qualify for additional two percent points.

Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification with original documents and self-attested photocopies of:
a. Marks sheets/Diploma/Degree as per prescribed qualification
b. Date of Birth/Matriculation Certificate
c. Domicile Certificate
d. Unmarried Certificate (where required)
Candidates must bring two passport-size recent colour photographs and one original photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card or Voter ID Card).
Candidates who furnished a residence certificate issued on or before cut-off date must produce it during verification.

All applicants must submit affidavit stating:
All documents submitted are correct and genuine. If found incorrect, appointment shall be cancelled and candidate will be debarred.
Maximum qualification for Sangini (AWW) is Class X+2 and for Sahayika (AWH) is 8th class.
Deponent has read HR Policy No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 30.11.2022 and shall be bound by it.
