ENGAGEMENT OF EXPERT ENGINEER

Applications are invited for rendering technical services in Subject Specific Compliance Audit on “Management of Operational works in Army” which mainly comprise of the following works:

Construction of field defences, Construction/improvements to airfield, Advance landing Grounds, Helipads, Roads, Bridges and ropeways, Provision of field water supply, Construction improvement of ancillary building, tented camps and hospital, Construction/improvement of shelters as substitute for tented accommodation, Construction Operation, Tech and Storage Accommodation, Construction of roads/operation tracks upto class-9 specification.

Duties and Responsibilities :-

(i) Advise on technical matters related to design, specifications, drawings and sites etc of Operation Works (Op Wks) assets.
(ii) Analysis of technical sanctions issued on matters like structures, specification, quantities, pricing etc.
(iii) Reviewing architectural, engineering and technical designs to ensure compliance with standards, specification, and user requirement.
(iv) Evaluating contractual obligations in Special Terms and Condition (S&C) of contracts are clear and enforceable, in the context of Op works.
(v) Devise checklist for the field teams to scrutinize that the execution of works on ground has been done as per Technical Sanctions.
(vi) Analyse field data and suggest mid-course improvisations, if any.
(vii) Interact with management and support field audit teams in Northern Command and Eastern Command.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant should be fully conversant with the Operational works procedures and directives issued from time to time by MoD/IHQ/Commands Hqrs of Indian Army.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Op works planning and execution in Indian Army.

M. Tech in Civil/Structures/Design or equivalent; experience as Executive engineer or Lt col.

Work Location, Age & Remuneration:

The Place of work shall be at Jammu besides, the upper age limit kept is 65 years and the Monthly Remuneration shall be negotiable.

Designation & Contract Period:

The period of contract shall be initially for 02 months and declaration of secrecy is to be furnished.
