Creation of Directorate of Disaster Management in lieu of the existing office of Emergency Relief Organization (ERO).

Sanction is hereby accorded to the creation of a Directorate of Disaster Management in the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction by renaming the existing “Emergency Relief Organization” as “Directorate of Disaster Management”, along with creation, upgradation and reduction of posts of the Emergency Relief Organization as per details given in Annexure-A and Annexure-B respectively. Consequently, the staff strength of the Directorate of Disaster Management, after restructuring, shall be as given in Annexure-C.
