The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, a Grants-in-Aid Institution supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and a Deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, is a premier research and teaching Institute of India to pursue and promote scientific research and teaching at the highest level in the frontier and
interdisciplinary areas of sciences. IACS, Kolkata is in looking for energetic, dynamic, young, motivated, and highly qualified prospective faculty members with requisite experience as per the Recruitment Rules of the Institute for faculty positions in various schools at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Faculty Fellow.
The applicants must have an excellent academic record and research experience with high-impact publications and should be able to design de novo courses in her/his areas of interest. They must participate in teaching undergraduate/postgraduate/Ph.D. students at IACS, and bring extramural research grants. The faculty members recruited in one School may also have concurrent affiliations with other Schools.

General Information :
1 Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS will be as per the Policy of the Government of India.
2 Candidates, who will apply against any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/EWS will be considered on the production of valid Caste /EWS Certificate issued by the Appropriate/Competent Authority on the latest prescribed format.
3 Relaxation of age limit and other concessions will be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class, Ex-Servicemen, and other special categories of persons, following the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time in this regard.
4 The crucial date for the claim of SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS etc. status or any other benefit viz. fee concession, reservation, age-relaxation, etc. will be the closing date for receipt of applications.
5 A person seeking an appointment of based on reservation to OBCs must ensure that s/he possesses the caste/community certificate and does not fall in the creamy layer on the crucial date.
6 The vacancy position indicated in the Advertisement is tentative. The Institute reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts at the time of selection and make appointments accordingly.
7 The Institute Authority reserves the right to either fill up all the posts or some of the posts or none of them as mentioned in the Advertisement during any stage of the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
8 The institute is not liable to compensate the applicant for any consequential damage/loss thereof.
