Essential qualifications
a) M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Medicine/Clinical Biochemistry/ Biosciences, or Immunology.
b) 2 years’ experience in research and development in industrial and academic institutions, or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
Job description : The candidate would be involved in a research project on ‘Understanding the role of gut microbiota in high prevalence of non-communicable diseases in Kashmir valley’.
Desirable qualifications : Experience in in vitro / ex vivo / in vivo models of research in chronic diseases, cancer, microbiology, immunology
Fellowship
i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through
a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i)
Terms and conditions :
1. The selected candidate will be on a contract initially for one year, which may be extended to 2 years depending upon performance.
2. No hostel / housing will be provided.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit. The date and time of interview will be informed via email.
4. Selection committee of DST – sponsored PURSE project at Islamic University of Science and Technology reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting the eligible candidates.
