Recruitment in Spices Extension Trainees (SET)

Name of the Posts : Trainee

No. of Trainees required : 29 Nos. (Location wise requirement of SETs are enclosed as annexure-I)

A panel will be prepared for selection of SETs for future vacancies.

Educational Qualification : B.Sc (Agriculture / Horticulture) or B.Sc (Botany/Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / forestry) with working knowledge in computer.

Eligibility : 

1.The upper age limit should not exceed 35 years as on the date of written test.

2. Those who are trained/ undergoing training in any of the department of the Spices Board are not eligible.

Tenure : Two years.

Stipend : ₹ 20,000 per month. In case of travel to spice fields, TA will be paid

Method of selection : Online written test & computer proficiency/skill test

Leave Eligibility : One day per month.

Date of written test : 02nd February, 2024

Time of written test : 

Online written test : 11 am.
Computer proficiency/skill test : 2.00 pm

How to apply and attend the online written test :

 Eligible SC/ ST candidates may appear for the Walk in Test at the specified centres on the prescribed date one hour before the conduct of written test.

 Candidates shall report the centre for admission to written test with filled in application form attached in annexure-II and valid ID Proof. Candidate shall affix his/her recent passport size photograph in the application form. Candidates shall carry original certificates
and one set of self attested copies of the certificates supporting their eligibility.

 Walk-in test will be conducted online at the centers specified in annexure-I

 Written test (MCQ) will be conducted online and the Candidates appearing for the Walk in test shall bring a smartphone /tablet having internet connection for attending the online test.

 Candidates shall carefully select name of the office proposed for undergoing training.

 The rank list will be prepared for each centre separately for the requirement of that centre and the selection for training will also be to the offices under the centre. Once the name of office for training is selected, that cannot be changed later and hence this has to be opted carefully.

 Candidates who qualifies in the online written test will be eligible for attending computer proficiency/skill & which will conducted on the same day at the same centre.

Instructions to candidates :

 Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as mentioned above

 Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID and mobile number active for receiving communications from the Spices Board on 02.02.2024.

 In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he/she has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his / her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after selection, his/her services are liable to be terminated.

 Decisions of the Spices Board in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of test, detailed test and selection procedure would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Board in this regard.

 The eligibility of applicants with respect to age, Educational qualification etc. will be determined as on 02.02.2024. Spices Board reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/ enlarge/ cancel the selection process, without assigning any reason.

 The decision of the Board will be final and no appeal will be entertained in this matter.

 No TA/ DA will be given to candidates who attend the walk-in-test.
