Advertisement Notice of Sanganis (Anganwadi Worker) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) – 5th Phase

Applications on prescribed format are invited from eligible female candidates of the below-mentioned wards of Panchayats/Municipality for engagement as Sanganis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) (5th Phase) in Anganwadi Centres of Poshan/ICDS Project Marh, purely on honorary basis, in pursuance to Govt. Order No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 30-11-2022 and 103-JK(SWD) of 2023 dated 28-04-2023, and approval accorded by Mission Director, Poshan, J&K vide Letter No. SMD/POSHAN/47173-85 dated 24-12-2025.

As per norms, the unit of selection of Sanganis/Sahayikas shall be the electoral ward of the concerned Panchayat/Municipality.

Criteria for Selection of Sanganis (Anganwadi Workers)

1. Women candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026.

2. Must be a domicile of UT of J&K.

3. Must be resident of the electoral ward where AWC is situated. Voter list shall be considered as proof of residence.

4. Minimum qualification: 10+2, maximum graduation.

5. If no 10+2 candidate is available, adjoining ward candidates may be considered.

6. Selection shall be purely on merit basis.

7. If candidate is from family of retired AWW/AWH, 2% additional weightage shall be given.

8. In case of tie, elder candidate shall be preferred.

9. Qualification higher than graduation shall not be considered.

Criteria for Selection of Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers)

1. Women candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026.

2. Must be a domicile of UT of J&K.

3. Resident of the electoral ward; minimum qualification Matriculation.

4. If no matriculate candidate is available, candidates with minimum 8th pass may be considered.

5. Selection shall be based on marks obtained in Class 10th.

6. Preference shall be given to widows or destitute women with no source of income, if other conditions are equal.

How to Apply :

Application forms (Annexure “A”) along with required documents must be submitted in the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Marh, either personally or through registered post during working hours.

Incomplete forms shall be rejected.

No application will be accepted after 15-01-2026.

Document Verification :

Shortlisted candidates shall appear before the Document Verification Committee with original documents within one week after the last date of application.
