Advertisement notice for engagement of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) in Anganwadi Centres of Poshan Project Banihal on honorarium basis.

Applications are invited on prescribed format (Annexure-A) from eligible female candidates for engagement of Sangini (AWW) for working at the following Anganwadi Centres:
Date of commencement of submission of offline applications: 05-01-2026
Cut-off/Last date of submission of offline applications: 19-01-2026
Eligibility Conditions:
a) Woman candidate must be in the age group of 18–37 years as on 01-01-2026.
b) The candidate should be a domicile of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
c) The candidate should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated. Name in the voter list of the ward shall be considered as proof of residence. In case the name of the candidate appears in the voter list along with her parents, she must provide a certificate of being unmarried issued by the concerned Tehsildar. Wherever there is any dispute as to residence, residence proof certifying the ward of residence from the concerned SDM/ACR shall be considered.
d) Minimum qualification shall be 10+2 and maximum graduation. In case no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a 10+2 pass candidate from the adjoining ward shall be considered, which would require prior approval of the Mission Director, Mission Poshan.
e) In case a suitable candidate is not available from the adjoining ward, a candidate from the nearest ward within the Panchayat can be considered, subject to the approval of the Mission Director, Mission Poshan.
f) Weightage shall be given on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 and selection shall be done purely on merit basis, and no other criteria shall be considered.
g) In case an eligible candidate is available within the family of a retiring AWW/AWH, the said candidate shall qualify for additional two percent points.
h) In case of tie in merit, the eligible candidate with higher age shall be preferred.
i) Candidate with qualification higher than graduation shall not be considered.
Documents to be attached for Sanginis (AWWs):
Domicile certificate
Date of Birth certificate
Qualification certificates
Ward Certificate / Certified copy of the latest voter list as proof of residence (certified by the concerned BDO/EO Municipality)
Unmarried certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar (wherever applicable)
Engagement/relieving order of the AWW/AWH, if the applicant claims to be a family member of a retiring AWW/AWH
E-Ration ticket mentioning category and family details duly attested by the concerned TSO
Affidavit sworn before the 1st Class Judicial Magistrate stating that the candidate does not possess higher qualification than graduation. If any candidate is found to be of higher qualification than graduation, her candidature shall be cancelled forthwith without serving any notice ab-initio and action shall be initiated under law.
All attached documents shall be self-attested by the candidate. The prescribed application forms along with requisite documents shall be submitted in the office of the Child Development Project Officer, Poshan Banihal, during office hours up to the cut-off date till 4:00 PM against proper receipt. Incomplete forms shall be rejected without any clarification/notice, and the candidates shall have no right to claim for candidature.
The office/Poshan Department reserves the right to increase, decrease, withdraw, or cancel the advertised vacancy/vacancies at any point of time with respect to departmental requirements before the selection process.
