Eligibility Criteria :
Level- 5:
Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised University
Level- 4:
Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised University.
Pass in 1st Year B.Sc. (Physics) or a pass in 12th (+2 stage) in Higher Secondary in Science (Physics or Maths) from recognised institution
12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University and for the skill test prescribed dictation speed of 80 words per minute duration time 10 minutes and transcription time is 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi).
Level- 3/2:
Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination for Non-Technical posts. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institution
Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT from a recognised institution (Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification.
Act Apprenticeship/ITI is the only qualification and no other qualification including Diploma in Engineering is accepted as an alternative qualification on the ground of being a higher qualification in the same line of training).
10th Standard from a recognised institution (In case, the candidates considered on 10th Standard passed qualification to the post of Skilled Artisan, such sports quota appointees will be directed for training for a period of THREE YEARS
Level-1:
Passed 10th or its equivalent examination from a recognised institution
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)
Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
Maximum Age limit: 25 Years
Born between: 02.01.2001 To 01.01.2008 (both days inclusive)
No age relaxation (upper or lower) shall be permissible
The date of reckoning age shall be 1st January 2026
Application Fee :
The examination fee for all candidates: Rs.500/- (Five Hundred only) with a provision for refunding Rs.400/- to those who actually appear in the trials.
For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Women/ Minorities/ Economically Backward Classes (EBCs): Rs.250/- (Two Hundred and Fifty only) with a provision for refunding the same to those who actually appear in the trials.

Selection Process :
The recruitment will be based on performance during trials, assessment of sports achievements & educational qualification.
The candidates who are found FIT in trials only will be considered for next stage of recruitment process.
For this Recruitment, all eligible candidates will be called for the trials. Trials of the eligible candidates shall be conducted to assess the sports performance and suitability
The dates for trials will be notified later and published in the RRC website. The trials will be held at Hubballi/Bengaluru/Mysuru or at any other notified places as decided by the Administration.
While all out efforts will be made to inform the candidates well in advance, the candidates are cautioned that they may have to appear in the selection trials at short notice.
The candidates are advised to regularly check the website for information in this regard.
Candidates should note that they are required to produce the originals of all documents uploaded with online applications pertaining to educational qualification, caste, sports achievements, date of birth, minority income certificate and proof of identity viz. PAN card, Aadhar Card, Driving Licence etc. on the day of document verification and on the day trials failing which, the candidate will not be allowed to participate in the trials
The Candidates recommended for appointment will be subjected for ‘BEE-ONE’ (B-1) and above medical classification’ conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are Medically FIT to carry out the duties connected with the post.
Only those candidates who are medically FIT in ‘BEE-ONE (B-1) and above medical classification’ would be considered for appointment.
The candidates recommended for appointment will be posted in Safety category posts or in the field
