Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute with minimum 50% marks.
Experience: Minimum 07 years of post-qualification experience in Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) project execution and network management.
Experience: Out of the total experience, at least 04 years of hands-on experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of Fiber Optic Networks.
Essential Skills: Preventive and corrective maintenance, planning of OFC networks including OTDR-based fault diagnostics and fusion splicing.
Essential Skills: Strong understanding of fibre optic transmission, signal propagation and cable management practices.
Essential Skills: Experience in SLA / KPI monitoring, fault resolution and performance optimization of telecom networks.
Desirable / Preferred Skills: Familiarity with GIS, ABD, RFMS and Network Management Systems (NMS).
Desirable / Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of OTDR, Power Meters, Fusion Splicers and Visual Fault Locators (VFL).
Desirable / Preferred Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and basic network monitoring / reporting tools.
General Condition on Qualification: All qualifications must be from a recognized University / Institution approved by AICTE / UGC / Government of India and only full-time regular courses shall be considered.
Experience Counting: Experience shall be counted after acquiring the minimum prescribed qualification.
Crucial Date for Eligibility: 19.12.2025 (Date of notification).
Note on Experience: Internship / Apprenticeship / Training / Teaching / Academic / Freelancing experience shall not be treated as qualifying experience.
Salary/Stipend :
- Monthly consolidated remuneration shall be negotiable and commensurate with educational qualification, relevant experience and market benchmarks.
- Documents relating to last drawn remuneration need to be provided at the time of finalisation of engagement.
- Statutory deductions such as EPF (employee’s share), Income Tax, Professional Tax etc. shall be made as applicable.
- Employer’s contribution towards EPF shall form part of the CTC.
Age Limit (as on 19-12-2025)ย
- Maximum age: 40 years as on 19.12.2025 (Date of notification).
- Age relaxation shall be applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen.
- If a candidate is eligible for age relaxation on two or more grounds as mentioned in Annexure-II, only the highest admissible age relaxation shall be applicable.

Selection Process :
Engagement shall be based on Walk-in Interview, assessment of experience, domain knowledge and overall suitability for the assignment.
RVNL reserves the right to assess candidates as per organizational and project requirements.
No request for postponement of interview shall be entertained.
Engagement shall be purely on contract basis for an initial period of one (01) year, extendable up to three (03) years based on project requirement and satisfactory performance.
The engagement shall automatically cease on expiry of the contract period unless extended by RVNL.
One-month advance notice shall be required from either side for termination of contract.
Selected candidates shall be required to execute a Service Bond equivalent to two months’ consolidated remuneration to serve RVNL for a minimum period of one year. If the candidate fails to complete the bond period, they will be liable to pay the entire bond amount as specified.
General Information/Instructions
Candidates working in Government / PSU / Autonomous bodies shall produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview or submit an undertaking to produce proper relieving order at the time of joining in case of selection.
Engagement on contract basis shall not confer any right for regular appointment or continuation in RVNL.
Candidature shall be provisional and subject to verification of documents and eligibility.
For availing reservation, EWS, SC, ST & OBC-NCL candidates should furnish necessary certificate (in original) during walk-in interview in the standard prescribed format.
Candidates belonging to the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must submit a caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed for appointments under the Government of India. OBC certificates issued for State Government services shall not be accepted and the certificate must be issued during the current financial year clearly indicating that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer.
In the case of EWS candidates, an Income and Asset Certificate for 2024-25 issued by the Competent Authority during the current financial year only shall be accepted as valid proof for availing reservation under the EWS category.
In the case of PwBD candidates, a PwBD Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed Government of India format (where applicable) must be produced.
In case the Caste/Category certificate is issued in a language other than Hindi or English, the candidate shall be required to produce a certified translation of the same in Hindi or English at the time of Interview/Document Verification/Joining, as applicable.
RVNL reserves the right to modify, restrict, increase or decrease the number of posts or cancel the engagement process at any stage.
No correspondence shall be entertained from candidates found ineligible or not selected.
The candidate will give an undertaking at the time of interview to the effect that he/she will be de-barred for participation in all types of future assignments in RVNL, if they refuse to join after issue of offer of appointment.
Candidates shall produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies in support of age, qualification, experience, caste/category, PwBD status (if applicable), identity and address proof. Any discrepancy or false information shall result in cancellation of candidature.
Candidates must be medically fit and selected candidates shall have to undergo medical examination as per RVNL policy at their own cost before joining.
No travelling, lodging or boarding expenses shall be reimbursed for attending the Walk-in Interview and candidates shall make their own arrangements.
Depending upon the number of candidates reporting for the Walk-in Interview, the schedule may be adjusted and candidates are advised to plan their return journey accordingly.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria before attending the Walk-in Interview and their candidature shall be subject to verification of original documents and eligibility conditions.
Furnishing false/tampered documents or any misconduct will invite legal action, disqualification, debarment and/or termination as per rules.
Any dispute arising out of this notice shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts at New Delhi only.

How to Apply :
- Engagement shall be through Walk-in Interview only as per the notified schedule at the specified venue.
- Candidates have to appear for the Walk-in Interview at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, Conference Hall, 7th Floor, Tower A, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi-110029.
- Reporting time for Walk-in Interview is 10:00 Hrs.
- Candidates shall appear strictly on the date applicable to their category: 13.01.2026 for SC / ST / EWS, 14.01.2026 for OBC, 15.01.2026 for UR.
- No request for change of date or early/late appearance shall be entertained.
- Candidates must bring originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of filled in application form (Annexure-I) along with checklist (Annexure-II), matriculation certificate (age proof), degree/diploma certificates & mark sheets (full set), experience certificates indicating nature & duration of work (OFC/O&M proof mandatory), category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) if applicable, PwBD certificate if applicable, last three months’ payslips and 26AS (for private candidates) / appointment letter & ID card & last month payslip (for PSU/Govt candidates), photo ID & address proof, two recent passport size photographs and NOC from current employer (if employed in Govt/Quasi-Govt/PSU).
- Candidates must fill the Application Form for engagement of experienced Site Engineers (Telecom) on contract basis (Annexure-I) in block letters using blue ball pen and attach all required documents as per Annexure-II checklist.
- Candidates are required to sign the application and all documents as specified in the checklist.
