Engagement of candidates as Assistant Professor on Academic Arrangements (AA) on need basis in School of Architecture, Jammu for the session 2024-25.

RE-ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of Assistant Professors on Academic Arrangement (AA) on need basis in School of Architecture, Jammu for the session 2024-25 on need basis, as per the details mentioned below:

Assistant Professor (Architecture) :- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch and Master’s

Degree in Architecture or in an allied subjects of Architecture with minimum 60 per cent at either level and 01 year of relevant professional experience. OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch with minimum 60 per cent marks and minimum three year’s of relevant profession experience

Assistant Professor (Structural Engineering) : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree in Structural

Engineering with minimum 60% marks at either level and one year relevant professional experience.

Selection Process

The Principal, School of Architecture, Jammu shall conduct interview and/or arrange a written/screening test for the eligible candidates, if required. However, the candidates with NET/SLET/Ph.D are exempted from written/screening test. The selection of the candidates shall be made by the Selection Committee strictly on the basis of Merit list to be prepared. The applicants are advised to keep in touch with the office of the Registrar, GCET/SOA Jammu, for further information.

Experience shall mean professional experience and/or Teaching in the field of Architecture, counted from the date of registration with Council or valid equivalent certification from concerned authorities. Professional experience shall be substantiated by experience certificate from employers, orders, completion certificates and Sample Drawings of the projects undertaken ,as the case may be.

Terms and conditions-

1. The engagement of candidates shall be made as per the Govt. order No. 137-JK (HE) of 2024 dated 01.03.2024 and amendment, if any, issued there-off

. 2. The candidate engaged on academic arrangements must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir (U.T)

3. The engagement of candidate will be made for one Academic Session or till the post is filled by appointment of candidate duly selected by the J&K Public Service Commission or by posting of regular faculty against the post occupied by an Academic Arrangement candidate whichever is earlier.

4. The candidate engaged on Academic Arrangement shall have to: –

i. Maintain proper discipline, integrity and good moral character during the period of engagement and not act in a manner of unbecoming of a Govt. Servant. Any indiscipline shall make the candidate liable for disengagement.

ii. Maintain punctuality and work up to the satisfaction of the standards set up by the Principal and various performance indices.

iii. Produce a certificate of good moral character from a Gazetted Officer.

iv. The engagement made under the guidelines shall be deemed to have been terminated on the last date of academic session without any notice on this behalf.

v. Furnish an Affidavit on a Non judicial stamp paper of Rs. 20/- duly attested by 1st Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that he/she has accepted the terms and conditions as detailed in this notification and shall have no preferential claim for regular appointment or for regularization of the academic arrangement.

vi. In the event of any information being found false, incomplete, incorrect, forged, tampered, the candidature of the applicant will be cancelled without any notice thereof. Further, misleading information shall also warrant necessary legal action.

vii. The candidate having marks in CGPA shall provide a conversion certificate (from CGPA to percentage) from the concerned university.

5. The engagement of candidates shall be subject to outcome of the Court Cases, if any, on the subject pending disposal in any Court of Law.

6. The remuneration shall be paid as per the Government Orders on the subject in vogue.

The application downloaded from the college website www.soar-j.in complete in all respects shall be submitted in the office of The Principal, School of Architecture, GCET campus, Chak Bhalwal, Jammu, by or before 30-07-2024 personally or through registered / speed post along with a copy of the bank receipt of Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) having been deposited in the account of Principal, School of Architecture, Jammu inΒ A/C No. 0345040500000160 (IFSC Code JAKAOMISHRI), J&K Bank Mishriwala, Jammu.
