SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina Recruitment for the Principal Post
Applications are hereby invited from the eligible faculty members of Sheri-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura and SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina for the post of Principal, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina. The applications must be submitted on the prescribed form, which can be downloaded from the official website of SKIMS, Soura at www.skims.ac.in.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :
a) Postgraduate medical qualification and other academic qualifications from a recognized institution.
b) Minimum of ten (10) years teaching experience as Professor/Associate Professor (Additional Professor In respect of SKIMS faculty)/Reader in a Medical College/Institute out of which at least five (05) years should be as Professor in a Department.
c) Preference to be given to the Heads of the Departments.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE POST SHALL BE AS UNDER:
i) The post shall be a full time Principal.
ii) The post shall carry Pay Band of 37400-67000+10000 Grade Pay (Pre-revised).
iii)The upper age limit shall be sixty two (62) years in respect of faculty of SKIMS, Soura and faculty of SKIMS Medical College, Bemina as on 1m January 2024.
iv)The appointment shall be made on tenure basis for a period of two (02) years.
PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION :
a) The Selection Committee to be constituted for appointment of Principal, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bernina shall after careful scrutiny, examine the Bio-Data and other record of the candidates that may be available and assess each case on the basis of following criteria:
i) Academic Qualification
ii) Teaching Experience
iii) Research Experience
iv) Administrative Experience
b) After assessing the credentials of the candidates on the basis of aforesaid criteria, the Selection Committee may call such candidates as it may deem necessary/fit for a personal Interaction to make further assessment of the candidates.
c) After completing the process of assessment, the Selection Committee shall prepare a panel of upto three (03) candidates in order of merit which will be placed before the Chairman, Governing Body for making selection for the post of Principal, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina.
LAST DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS :
Applications duly completed In all respects and accompanied with the documentary evidence and addressed to the Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department, Civil Secretariat, AK, Srinagar shall be submitted in the Office of Additional Director, SKIMS, Soura by hand or through registered post by or before 02.09.2024.
In case the last date of receipt of applications is a public holiday, then the last date for receipt of application forms shall be the next working day.
