Applications are invited for the following position purely on a temporary basis for a period of 12 months or till completion of the project funded by DBT-GOI, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi entitled:
“Comprehensive immunization screening of pregnant mothers for two common genetic disorders and newborns for five treatable inborn metabolic errors across two aspirational districts of Jammu and Kashmir with establishment of Nidan Kendra under DBT-UMMID Initiative” at the Department of Clinical Research, SKIMS Soura, Srinagar.

Position Details
Name of the Post: Genetic Counsellor
Number of Posts: 01
Qualification:
Graduate in science subjects or equivalent degree in Medical/Human Genetics, Life Science, Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or related field from a recognized university/college.
Experience:
Minimum one year hands-on experience in genetic counselling.
Remuneration:
As per guidelines.

Note :
Candidates should bring their application along with CV and self-attested copies of certificates/documents.
Terms & Conditions
The post will be filled purely on a temporary basis.
Appointment can be terminated with one-month notice from either side without assigning any reason.
Since the post is temporary, selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under the project continuation or service in any other project. No claim for regular appointment at SKIMS after project termination will be entertained.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post. Candidates must make their own arrangements.
Qualifications and experience must be from a Government-recognized institution.
Experience will be counted only after completion of the minimum educational qualification.
Mere fulfillment of essential qualifications does not guarantee selection.
