SKUAST Jammu Walk-in-Interview Notice
Walk-in-interview for recruitment of Field Worker under DBT funded project entitled “Ornamental fish breeding and culture for livelihood development in Jammu region” is scheduled on 19th August, 2025(Tuesday) at the Directorate of Research, SKUAST-Jammu, Main Campus Chatha at 11:00 am.
The candidates possessing relevant qualification and experience as mentioned below in the table may appear in the interview. The advance application in the prescribed format may be submitted through email at [email protected].
The detailed advertisement along with the prescribed format can be downloaded from the university website www.skuast.org. The candidate must appear in-person for the interview.
Name of the Post : Field Worker
Essential Qualification : Graduation in Fisheries Science/Zoology/Life Sciences
Desirable :
M.F. Sc./M.V. Sc/MSc in Zoology
• Knowledge of ornamental fishes
• Proficiency in speaking local language
• Computer knowledge
• Ready to travel to districts of Jammu region for sampling
Emoluments : 18000/- + HRA (8%) per month
Terms and conditions :
i. The engagement shall be purely on temporary and contractual basis and likely to be extended only if the performance of candidate is satisfactory.
ii. The candidate shall have no legal right to claim regularization/appointment in SKUAST Jammu by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any further contractual engagement as the scheme is purely time bound, non-regular and co-terminus with the
project.
iii. The engagement shall automatically cease with termination of the project or if the performance of the selected candidate isn’t found satisfactory, whichever is earlier/applicable.
iv. The University/Funding Agency reserves the right to withdraw advertised post at any stage, without assigning any reason thereof.
v. No Objection Certificate from the employer in case the applicant is an employee elsewhere and experience certificate, relevant to the project, in original, if any, may be at the time of walk-in interview.
vi. Selected candidate shall have to produce all original documents at the time of joining.
vii. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
viii. Desirous candidates are advised to keep on visiting the university website for any update regarding change in date of interview or otherwise. No separate advertisement shall be issued for the same.
ix. The decision of Competent Authority, SKUAST-J shall be final and binding in all aspects.
