Age Limit

Maximum Age: 30 years (as on the closing date of application)

Age Relaxation: SC / ST — 5 years, OBC — 3 years, Ex-Servicemen — 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age, J&K / Ladakh domiciled — 5 to 10 years depending on category.

Salary :

Selected candidates for SSB Sub Inspector posts will be placed in Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix.

Basic Pay Range: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month

Pay Level: Level 6

Selection Process :

Stage 1 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

PET (not applicable for SI Staff Nurse and SI Pioneer):

Males: 1.6 km race in 6 minutes 30 seconds

Females: 800 metres race in 4 minutes

PST: Height and chest measurements as per prescribed standards. General category males require minimum 170 cm height and 80 cm chest with 5 cm expansion.

Note: Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET but must appear for PST and all other stages.

Stage 2 : Written Examination (Computer Based Test)

Total Marks: 150 marks | Duration: 3 hours

Part I (50 marks): General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, General English / Hindi

Part II (100 marks): Technical subject related to the post

Negative Marking: -0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Stage 3 : Document Verification & Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification followed by a comprehensive medical examination as per CAPF guidelines.

Stage 4 : Review Medical Examination (RME)

Candidates declared unfit in DME can request a Review Medical Examination. The RME decision is final.

Pay the application fee of ₹200 online via net banking, credit card, or debit card (SC / ST / Ex-SM / Female candidates are exempted).
