TERRITORIAL ARMY RECRUITMENT
Selection in the Territorial Army is fair and transparent and on merit only. At no stage any bribe is to be paid to anyone for selection or recruitment in the Territorial Army. Candidates should not fall prey to unscrupulous persons posing as recruiting agents.
Mobile phones / watches / electronic devices will not be permitted in the testing area.
The recruitment for 157 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) Sikh and 158 Infantry Battalion (TA)(H&H) SIKH LI will be carried out at 158 Inf Bn (TA)(H&H) SIKH LI, Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir).

Equipment Repairer (ER) – 01
Note: Candidates belonging to Jammu District, Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur & Ramgarh Tehsil of Samba and Teryath, Paoni and Reasi Tehsil are only eligible.
Vacancies for recruitment in 158 Inf Bn (TA)(H&H) SIKH LI:
Soldier (GD) – 228
Note: Candidates belonging to Kathua, Samba and Majalta and Ram Nagar Tehsil of district Udhampur are only eligible.
District-wise schedule of recruitment:
Recruitment is scheduled for different dates for eligible districts and tehsils. Candidates must report at the recruitment rally site at 02:00 AM. No entry after 05:00 AM.
Age: 18 to 42 years as on date of recruitment.
Physical Parameters:
Height: 160 cm
Weight: Minimum 50 kg
Chest: 77 cm (with 5 cm expansion)
Educational Qualification:
Soldier (General Duty):
Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
For boards following grading system: minimum grade D (33–40) in individual subjects with overall aggregate of C2 grade or equivalent (45%).
Soldier (Tradesmen):
10th simple pass (excluding House Keeper and Mess Keeper, for which 8th class pass is acceptable).
Documents Required:
Candidates must bring original documents with two sets of photocopies attested by a Gazetted Officer:
(a) Domicile Certificate
(b) Character Certificate (signed by Sarpanch/SHO/Principal of School only)
(c) Caste Certificate
(d) 20 coloured passport-size photographs (computer printouts not accepted)
(e) Original marks sheet of educational qualification
(f) Photocopy of PAN Card & Aadhaar Card
(g) Unmarried certificate issued by Sarpanch/MC; married candidates: certificate issued by Tehsildar/District Magistrate
Written Exam:
Candidates who pass the Physical & Medical Test must appear for a written exam.
Notes:
(a) Sons of servicemen/ex-servicemen/widow/war widow must bring discharge book and relationship certificate issued by respective Record Office and affidavit by first class Judicial Magistrate.
(b) Outstanding sportsmen (international, national & state level) must bring original sports participation certificates.
(c) Candidates must not belong to any Reserve Force nor have any reserve liability.
(d) Candidates should not have been dismissed from Territorial Army, Regular Army, Navy or Air Force.
(e) Candidates should not have more than one wife living.
(f) Candidates must not have been convicted in any criminal court.
(g) Territorial Army is a voluntary organization and essentially a part-time job. People will be employed temporarily based on Government sanction & organizational requirement.
