Vacancy Details:
University of Jammu has invited applications for the post of Assistant Professor in the subjects of Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, English and Information Technology with specialization in areas such as AI, Generative AI, Machine Language, Quantum Computing, Web Technologies, Computations and Operating Systems.

Important Dates:
The notification was made available on 19 September 2025.

Submission of application forms will be on 26 September 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the office of Director SIIEDC.

The interview of eligible candidates will take place on 26 September 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Office Chambers of Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Assistant Professor positions, candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in the concerned or allied subject with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University. Relaxation of 5 percent is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and differently-abled categories.

Candidates with PhD obtained prior to 19 September 1991 are also eligible with 50 percent marks. NET, SLET or SET is mandatory for appointment except for those candidates who have been awarded PhD as per UGC regulations of 2009 or 2016, and those meeting other prescribed conditions.

Candidates with PhD from foreign universities ranked among top 500 globally are also eligible.

How to Apply :
Candidates must submit duly filled application form in the Skill Incubation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (SIIEDC) along with self-attested copies of academic documents, publications and a photograph on 26 September 2025 between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on walk in interview scheduled on 26 September 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Office Chambers of Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu.

Document verification will also be carried out at the time of submission of forms.
