Online application forms are invited from the domiciles of UT of Jammu & Kashmir belonging to the UR (Un-reserved) category for the following Non-Teaching post in the University of Kashmir, in the prescribed Pay Level, as per the details below:
QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER DETAILS OF THE POST SHALL BE AS UNDER :
Post Name: Public Relations Officer (PRO)
Pay Level: Level-10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)
Number of Posts: 01 (UR)
Post Code: PGD-Cnv-3
Essential Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Social Science / Science / Journalism / Management / Commerce / Law / Electronic Media / Mass Media with at least 55% marks from a recognized University.
Desirable:
Three years’ relevant experience in any Educational Institute / Government Department / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body.
II. AGE
The age of candidates as on 01.01.2026 should be:
Not below 18 years; and
Not above:
40 years in case of Open merit;
42 years in case of Physically Challenged candidates;
43 years in case of SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/OBC/EWS/LAC/IB;
50 years in case of In-service University Employees.

IV. SUBMISSION OF ON-LINE APPLICATION FORMS :

Step 2:
Candidates need to register themselves before submitting the online application. For registration, click on the Non-Teaching Jobs link. Remember the username and password for future reference.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Reservation to the above post is as per the provision of S.O. 305 issued by the Social Welfare Department, Govt. of UT Jammu & Kashmir.
Only those candidates should apply for the post who fulfill all the eligibility conditions by the last date of submission of the application form.
Application form found incomplete in any respect shall be rejected without any notice.
Applications of Government servants should be sent through the Administrative Authority concerned, and University employees through the Registry of their respective Universities. Applications not routed through the respective channels are liable to be rejected. Candidates may send an advance copy of the application form along with the requisite enclosures and application fee (whichever applicable) to the office of the Recruitment Section by or before 28-01-2026, failing which their in-service candidature shall not be considered.
Candidates who have successfully submitted their online application form have to ensure that their name appears in the list which would be available on the University website in due course of time. If there is any discrepancy/query, please contact the Recruitment Section personally within one week from the date of display of the list, failing which no further claim whatsoever shall be entertained.
The fee once paid will not be refunded or re-adjusted under any circumstances.
In case of any corrigendum/addendum/notice pertaining to this advertisement, the same shall be published on the University website only. Accordingly, all applicants in their own interest are advised to keep track of the University website.
The appointment shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the UT Government/University (whichever is applicable).
Services are transferable between the different Satellite Campuses of the University of Kashmir.
Impersonation or submission of false/fabricated/tampered documents or making incorrect/false statements by the candidate will, in addition to debarring him/her permanently or for a specific period from any employment in the University, make him/her liable for criminal prosecution.
