1 died, several injured in incident
One man died of electrocution while five others suffered injuries after getting electrocuted in Allapeer area of Jammu’s Poonch district.
Sources said that the incident happened when some locals of Allapeer village in Poonch were moving a grave shed of a deceased person at Sayed Gafoor graveyard and they suffered electric shock when the grave shed came in contact with a live wire. After which one man died on the spot while five other men suffered wounds.
After the incident the wounded men were rushed to Raja Sukhdev Hospital Poonch for the treatment.
The deceased who died of electric shock has been identified as Mohd Aslam r/o Allapeer of Poonch.
The locals of Allapeer have demanded the local authorities to shift the hanging electric wires in the Sayed Gaffor graveyard so that any such untoward incident can be avoided in the future.
