These patients were discharged from JLNM Rainawari hospital.

Divulging information, Nodal Officer for Coronavirus, Dr Bilquees told KNT that they were unable to contact district administration Shopian due to suspension of call facility. “A vehicle will arrive from the Shopian all these cured patients will be taken to home,” she said.

Dr Bilquees said that these 13 patients were discharged after their two repeated samples were tested negative for Covid-19. “These patients were first tested positive for Covid-19 on 21 April while their repeated tests on 4 and 6 May tested negative. As we couldn’t communicate with district administration Shopian, due to prevailing situation and suspension of internet and mobile calling facility, we kept these patients in isolation wards and separated them from rest of the positive patients,” she said adding that all these patients were asymptomatic.

She further said that six pregnant ladies who were Covid-19 suspects, hailing from red-zones and whose deliveries/LSCS were conducted at Rainawari hospital were also discharged today.

The total number of positive patients admitted at JLNM Hospital is 60.
