Elections to be held in J&K soon after final voter list is prepared: Amit Shah

In a big announcement, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that the elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir will full transparency as soon as the work of compiling the voters’ list is completed.

Further Union Home Minister said that assembly elections in J&K will be made after the final voter list and other preparations are completed. Shah said that manner in which delimitation has been done in the region, representatives of the people’s choice will be elected.

Earlier today, Shah chaired a security review meeting with senior officials in Srinagar.
