Update : IED detected, destroyed in Kashmir
A Bomb Disposal Squad diffused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) after it was detected by joint teams of security forces in Tulibal area of Sopore town in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning.
Officials told the news agency, that a Joint teams of J&K’s Sopore Police along with Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF detected an IED on Sopore – Kupwara bypass road at Tulibal in Sopore town.
Shortly after the detection of the IED, traffic was halted and the movement of people was restricted, they said.
A Bomb Disposal Squad was rushed to spot and destroyed the IED without causing any harm.
Meanwhile, a case in this regard has been registered and investigation has been set into motion, they added—(KNO)
IED Found in North Kashmir, BDS Summoned
An Improvised Explosive Device has been recovered on tuesday morning in Tulibal area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A senior police officer told that an IED has been found at Sopore bypass near Amargrah crossing in Tulibal.
Soon a team of police, 52RR of army and CRPF rushed to the spot. Meanwhile Bomb Disposal Squad has been summoned to defuse the IED, he said.
