JKBOSE Class 10th, Class 12th Annual Exams from Next Month : Officials
The annual examinations of classes 10 and 12 shall start from second and third week of October respectively, a top Board of School Education official said on Friday.
BOSE chairperson Veena Pandita said the decision to hold the annual examinations in October was taken to ensure that all the BOSE examination, including the bi-annual and private, conclude before March next year,
“We don’t want to conduct these exams late in November because we have to conduct the class 11 annual examination as well. Later we have to finish the bi-annual and private examinations before March .u r at jk up dates.so that students (who don’t qualify) can go for further studies without wasting their one academic year,” she said.
The datesheets for the examinations will be notified within a weeks’ time, Pandita said.
“We had announced the tentative examination dates earlier because we wanted the students to start preparing in advance,” the BOSE chairperson said.
Pertinently, the BOSE would usually conduct the bi-annual examinations during May-June for students who fail to qualify their annual regular examinations. However, the former education minister last year directed the u r at JK Updates.in, BOSE to conduct the bi-annual and private examinations before March so that the students can get another chance to qualify and pursue further studies without wasting an academic year.
Pandita said that the BOSE has been entrusted to conduct the annual exam for class 11 this year as well. The examination would be usually conducted at the school-level only.
