JKSSB unable to announce selection for 200 Govt Jobs

9 months since holding test, JKSSB unable to announce selection for 200 govt jobs

Aspirants for about 200 government jobs are anxiously awaiting the selection list of successful candidates since February when they took the prescribed qualifying test for the posts.

In November last year, the state Service Selection Board advertised more than 200 posts of library assistants, junior lab technicians, information assistants and some other jobs in various state departments.

Hundreds of aspirants sat for a computer based test (CBT) conducted by J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) in February.

But more than nine months later, the aspiring candidates who qualified the test say, despite completing all document verification in June a final selection list has not been announced, making many of them who are at the brink of crossing age of employability very anxious.

“Although we have cleared our CBT and document verification, we are unable to understand why despite passing of almost a year, the department is not coming out with the selection list,” one of the aspirants said.

“Many among us are at the brink of crossing the recruitment age and are awaiting the selection list which could be their last and only hope.”

The spokesperson of JKSSB told Greater Kashmir some formalities were still pending which will be cleared soon and a final selection list announced.

“We are holding a meeting in this regard on 24th of this month and their grievances will be addressed soon after that,” he said
