Transporters strike in Jammu and Kashmir today
All Jammu and Kashmir Transport Welfare Association (AJKTWA) has announced that all transporters in Jammu and Kashmir will strike today in protest at the removal of the Sarore Toll Plaza.
According to Ajit Singh, the AJKTWA has decided to strike on Friday. All the associations, including the High Court Bar Association Association, the Yuva Rajput Sabha, the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and all other social, youth, and political organizations, will gather on one stage to begin their joint campaign against the Sarore Toll Plaza.
In order to conduct a large-scale protest march against Sarore Toll Plaza, it is demanded that all transporters and activists from various groups gather at Bhagwati Nagar Chowk in Jammu at 9 am on Friday. Ajit Singh added that he stated that the group would decide on the following program or course of action on Friday evening and that it would be announced at the press conference the following day.
All public transportation vehicles, including trucks, mini-trucks/load carriers, tankers, buses, minibuses/matadors, tempo travelers, Tata Sumos, taxis, autorickshaws, etc., would be off the road from Lakhanpur in Jammu to Uri in Kashmir tomorrow, according to the AJKTWA chairman. On this occasion, Vijay Singh Chib, president of AJKTWA, also addressed. The leaders of all bus, truck, minibus, taxi, and auto unions were also present.
