Agriculture Department Re Notification of Nomenclature / Category wise Vacancies of Posts
Whereas, this Directorate vide Advertisement Notice No: 01 of 2016, dated: 06.01.2016 had invited applications from the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir State, Kashmir Division for recruitment against following Class-IV posts carrying the pay scale of Rs. 4440-7440 plus grade pay of Rs. 1300/- (Pre-revised in Agriculture Department Divisional cadre Kashmir vide No: Agri/ Estt/NG/2015-16/3307, dated: 06.01.2016 as per the following breakup:
Whereas, the last date for the receipt of applications was fixed as 21st of January, 2016 which was extended till 25th of January 2016.
Whereas, in response to the said notification, the department received 19750 applications, and in view of large number of candidates the process of short listing was adapted in the ratio of 1:5 (five candidates for one post).
Whereas, the list of shortlisted candidates to be called for interview was issued by this directorate vide No: Agri/Estt/NG/2016-17/2990-94, dated: 20.01.2017 and the same was .u r at jkadworld.com.published in the print media on 24.01.2017 inviting representations for filing objection (s), if any, within a period of ten days.
Whereas, the interview schedule for the short listed candidates was notified vide this office No: Agri/Estt/NG/2016-17/3403-07, dated: 04.03.2017, .u r at jk up dat es.but before the commencement of the interview, one candidate namely Mr. Balbir Kumar submitted a representation to this office wherein it was pointed out that the advertised posts did not fulfill the reservation roaster which was required to be maintained as per reservation roaster specified in terms of J&K Reservation Rules of 2005.
Whereas, the case was examined in this Directorate and it was found that the discrepancies noticed by the applicant are genuine and requires rectification in terms of J&K Reservation Rules of 2005 and accordingly a revised category-wise break up is reproduced as under:

Whereas, in view of the pecul’ar circumstances the matter was referred to the Agriculture Production Department vide this office letter No: Agri/Estt/NG/2017-18/4069, .u r at jkup dates.dated: 15.11.2017 seeking necessary instructions as to whether the posts shall be re-advertised a fresh or corrigendum shall be issued to the Advertisement Notification already issued by this office.
Whereas, in response to the above, the Administrative Department vide communication No: Agri/Coord/12/2017, dated: 10.01.2018 intimated to renotify the nomenclature/ category-wise vacancies of the posts and proceed ahead with selection process instead of issuing any fresh advertisement.
In light of the above, the category-wise breakup of the posts notified earlier by this office vide Notification No:01 of 2016, dated: 06.01.2016 is withdrawn and a fresh break-up of these available Class-IV posts has been framed fresh strictly in accordance with J&K .u r at jk upd ates.Reservation Rules of 2005 which is as under. This office constituted a committee of officers vide Agriculture Order No: 121/ Estt of 2018, dated: 18.04.2018 who were entrusted the responsibility of evaluating the merit of the applicants in each category for short listing as per the terms and conditions as mentioned in Advertisement Notice No: 01 of 2016 dated: 06.01.2016, and a revised shortlist of the applicants against the posts in each category is shown in Annexure-A to this notification.

The criteria for the selection process shal be as under:
90 points on the basis of merit arrived at for qualification in shortlist.
10 points for interview.
In addition to above (01) post of Orderly falling under RBA and (01) post of Orderly falling under Schedule Caste Category shall be advertised separately, .u r at jkupdates.however all other terms and conditions as laid down in the notification issued earlier vide Notification No: 01 of 2016, dated: 06.01.2016 shall remain same.
Any of the applicants, aggrieved with the above has a right to represent before this Directorate, within a period of seven (07) days from the date of publication of this notice. No claim/ objection shall be entertained after the lapse of Seven (07) days and this office will proceed ahead with the process of selection against these posts.
