CBSE: 40% questions in Class 10, 30% in Class 12 competency-based
CBSE The Ministry of Education announced on Monday that the percentage of competency-based questions for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 students’ board exams will be 40% and 30%, respectively.
These competency-based questions will include case-based, assertion and reasoning, objective type, and constructing response type questions.
In response to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi stated that these competency-based questions would include objective type, assertion and reasoning, constructing response type, and case-based questions.
“In order to change the test format, CBSE has begun implementing competency-based questions in the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12. These questions will come in a variety of formats, including case-based, assertion and reasoning, objective type, and constructing response type “She spoke.
The Minister added, “In the academic year 2022–2023, roughly 40% of Class 10 board examination questions and approximately 30% of Class 12 examination questions are competency-based.”
Annual practical examinations/ internal assessment and project assessments for session 2022-23 are scheduled to start from January 1, and the annual theory exams are scheduled to start from February 15, 2023
